If any of my following folks are a) into Monster High b) living in the Midwest, Meijer is getting in cases of Nefera et al.

So I picked up one of these (at, ah, a lower price than this listing) earlier this week because 5lbs of laptop seems much less attractive when you're walking a mile uphill in 90-degree weather with the sun beating down on you on a somewhat regular basis. So far it's proven excellent for writing, since there are some nice Metro "apps" (I have so much trouble thinking of anything in Windows as an "app") for distraction-free writing and the touch screen is surprisingly intuitive for editing. Also the super-high resolution monitor is great for videos, anything that has an easily adjustable font size, and nothing else, and the backlit keyboard is good for writing in the dark of night as is my wont.

So I'm ~12,000 words into NaNoWriMo, I just finished painting my first Warmachines warcaster, and I've had far too much coffee. Productivity!
