Fremont College encourages our #FremontFamily to support creative efforts towards the beautification of Los Angeles. One such effort is the LA Great Streets Initiative, started by LA Mayor, Eric Garcetti.

LA Great Streets partners with ...local communities to strengthen neighborhoods one street at a time via mural art in public spaces.

The Buns Shop, located on Western Ave., was selected to kick off the series. The Buns Shop North facing wall is currently a blank canvas, however its transformation is set to take place in early February.

#FremontCollege is proud to support LA Great Streets and invites our #FremontFamily to share your favorite LA street!

Fremont Student Ambassadors are having the first bake sale of 2015! Jan. 14th and 15th, bring your appetite and some spare change to the LA and Cerritos campuses. For those donating baked goods - using applesauce in place of sugar will ensure your dessert is delish' and cut out nearly 800 calories from your dish! (No matter what - we'll make sure there are healthier dessert options for those participating in our "Biggest Loser" challenge.)

#FremontFamily - what are some of your favorite, "healthy" desserts?

Whether you’re writing an email, an article, or a book, you’ll have a greater impact on your audience if your writing is informative, concise, and error-free. http://bit.ly/1zdrsc6

When you understand yourself well enough, you’ll be able to set up systems for your business and life that truly work. http://entm.ag/1x5mcvX
The problem with many plans is that they depend on your changing your life to match what someone else says will work, rather than your understanding yourself well and deciding to budget your time accordingly.

You may have heard that this month Fremont College is getting FIT! We're inviting all students to participate in our "Biggest Loser" challenge. We know it's not easy to balance school, possibly work and family life AND squeeze in time for working out and eating healthy. A healthy mind and body can help students achieve better results in school (and life for that matter) and Fremont College wants to make it fun in the process. Stay tuned for details for Fremont's "Biggest Loser" challenge. In the meantime students and faculty can join a team or put one together (we're accepting teams of 3 people.) Team sign-ups are at the front desks of both the Cerrtios and Los Angeles campuses.  Let's Get Fit!!

Don't waste your month-long break with petty and useless laziness.

This week's student spotlight is 2011 graduate Melissa Becerra! Melissa graduated from the College of Wellness and has since successfully transitioned to a career as a Sports Massage Therapist for Body Charge, Hawaiian Gardens and L.A. Sparks.

Her advice to new students attending Fremont College is to take advantage of the events that the school offers. The more experience you get, the better prepared you will be to become what you want.
