After the mixed Reviews I went to check this place out. I saw the menu and i figured with cab ride drinks and a date I better bring $300 bucks with me... Their hours said open till 2AM so I figured its only 1130 ill be good to go. After a $20 dollar cab ride from the loop we got there at about 12 and it was DEAD. Doors Locked and manager didnt acknowledge us even after she saw me point to the 2AM in the window sign. So even after I didnt get to check the place out my take is this... If it's dead at midnight.. there is a good reason for it. I'm guessing the glowing reviews I read were written by the people that own the place. The only person at Red Canary that gets kudos from me is the guy picked the music for their website.

Nice decor. Great to go for a date or to eat-out. but not worth coming by just for a casual drink.

We spent our time out back on the patio and its a great location for drinks and a bit to eat when the weather permits.

I can't say that I disliked the place, but it wasn't my favorite. The place is much bigger then I expected. We went for a friend's bachelorette party, we bought an "unlimited drinks" wristband that was good for 3 hours. The drinks were small and had little liquor in them. The food on the other hand was delicious, PB&J grilled with caramel sauce, the corn dogs and the guacamole were great! Our waitress was new and had no clue what she was doing but was still nice and friendly,

Had a Groupon to use. Start off with their corn bread which is surrounded by cream of corn. My favorite of the night was the fish tacos. These hands down are some of my favorite fish tacos I've every had. The fish was tasted very fresh and the watermelon relish was a nice touch.

This place is great. Amazing decor, friendly staff and wonderful food and drinks. I started with The Chandlier cocktail. Delicious. We had the duck rolls and mac n cheese apps and had fish tacos and fried chicken for dinner. The food was all wonderful and cleverly presented. The giant booths and lush patio are also pluses in my book

Had mothers day brunch here, we were seated right away and had our drink orders taken promptly. However my mother ordered a simple "tomato juice" what she got back was blood mary mix in a glass; very spicy and very much NOT the same as tomato juice. The only other problem was a very weak Bloody Mary they served me or the bartender forgot to put vodka in it not only that though the bartender had filled the glass very full so in order to dump some of the liquid our waitress lowered the glass below the top of the trash can and poured some out; not a huge deal but it looked very poor. The wait staff had a tendency to crowd around the bar and at servers station. Finally my only complaint about the food would be that the French toast was blackened on one side; not just on one order but on my mother's order too. While the atmosphere was good they were certainly not doing a good job of making Mothers Day as perfect as it should have been.
