We are biological machines
The DNA replication complex, an assembly of proteins that synthesizes new DNA before cell division.  It consists of helicase, primase, single-strand binding proteins, and dna polymerase III. Because DNA strands can only be copied in one direction, the complex must pull out loops of one strand and replicate it in fragments. At this moment there are hundreds of trillions of these molecular machines in constant activity within your body.

What's that? Oh nothing big, just mapping the single, double, and triple bonds of a starting molecule and its products after heat is applied.

On a somewhat more ominous note.
Thanks Tea Party.

" Effective immediately, all education and public outreach activities should be suspended, pending further review. In terms of scope, this includes all public engagement and outreach events, programs, activities, and products developed and implemented by Headquarters, Mission Directorates, and Centers across the Agency, including all education and public outreach efforts conducted by programs and projects."

"Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them. With [Major Major] Major Major it had been all three. Even among men lacking all distinction he inevitably stood out as a man lacking more distinction than all the rest, and people who met him were always impressed by how unimpressive he was."

Curiosity has landed on Mars! Congratulations +NASA, and may I say, well done! The smaller image is the first image she relayed to Earth, from a lower Hazcam, of a wheel. The larger image is a higher resolution version of the image, where you can see the wheel more clearly, the last one is the (aptly named) shadow of Curiosity.

Since we first began to investigate our world, humanity has searched for answers, we have always sought knowledge: it is our singularly defining characteristic. Imagine how far we've come, when first we poked our curios with little sticks did anybody know that someday we would poke around an alien world with a much longer stick? We've overcome the most immovable obstacles, we've conquered our hate of each other, and now, together we are boldly exploring in the most daring ways. America has always had a frontier to discover, now we move closer to our dream of escaping the shackles of Earth's gravity, now we advance humanity to new horizons and new impassable hurdles, now we claim our destiny --among the stars.

I love the "origin" feature. No longer shall I trudge through m-w.com's pop up riddled website for etymology!

You may be familiar with using Google to find definitions, like [define fortuitous]. We've recently updated this feature on google.com on desktop and mobile to give you more information about these words beyond just their definition. Now you’ll also see sample sentences that highlight how the word is used, as well as synonyms. If you tap the microphone on your Google Search app, you’ll hear answers spoken back when you ask questions like “What’s the definition of fortuitous?” and “What are synonyms for fortuitous?”

Give it a whirl the next time you're reading an article online and you stumble across an unfamiliar word. In addition, try translating words to one of 60+ languages directly from the box. When you select a language, future definition searches will consistently provide a translation to that same language.

#ifihadglass I wouldn't have paid $1500 for it, or the airfare and lodging to attend the pick-up event. But it would be sweet.

Introduction

I wipe my hands on my pants exceptionally often.

I have an uncanny skill for standing idly in areas of high traffic.

i always capitalize "I," even on the internet.

I am a funny guy, very spontanous; I make up jokes on the spot. For example, umm -just to showcase one- like right off the top of my head, you know -a freestyle joke, right? ... like... hmm... well... you know what I mean, I'm not going to waste any material here.

I once needed about 20 minutes to recall the primary function of the hippocampus.

Without a doubt, Five Star Burgers serves the most succulent hamburgers in the Albuquerque area. The care and dedication of the kitchen staff is evident in every perfectly cooked meal. Look closely at the "grain" of the meat in your hamburger, is it uniform, does it flow in the same direction, how tightly packed is it, at Five Star, you can expect to find these details masterfully attended to. Five Star offers more than cow, offering turkey, lamb, and bison. Don't forget to try some of the specialty and the local beers. With a modern chic interior and a small space for outside seating, the atmosphere at Five Star is comfortable and hip. Staff members are prompt and eager to help, without hovering. Food here is slightly more expensive than at most burger-joints around Albuquerque, but the food is well worth the ~$10.00/burger price tag.

I took a 15 min helicopter tour of the Duke City. I was astonished. Such beauty; the crew was helpful, kind, and the pilot took a diversion to fly over my house. Very cool service.

This is the worst MVD branch I have ever visited. Employees seem to know very little, and the wait is outrageous. The building is small and unfit for the needs of a MVD branch. The wait at this MVD branch is even longer than the usual visit.
