Decent Mexican food and seafood. I wouldn't call it great, but the ambiance of the pier, the ocean, and the vibe of being in Santa Monica compensates a little. The service can get a little slow. Give yourself some time to eat here. The Margaritas are great. Get the Cadillac.

This restaurant (called Mariasol, for those who'd prefer a name beyond Google's proffered "Mexican restaurant") was awesome! You get a free big bowl of guacamole, made right in front of you, if you check in with Yelp. The guac, chips, and salsa were delicious, and our entrees were surprisingly affordable ( $9.95 for a veggie burrito!) for a restaurant located on the end of the pier. It was nice having a view of sunset along the beach while being serenaded by local musicians. Our waiter, Deangelo, provided great service and even have us advice on how to avoid LA's killer rush hour traffic on our way out of the city. Drinks are pricy ($10 for a margarita), but overall I loved this restaurant and highly recommend it.

I didn't think any other mexican restaurant could be worse than the one I've worked at for 2 year. Our server lacked the ability to provide any service what so ever. I don't expect to be entertained, but simple menu knowledge and steps of service are a minimum requirement. Over priced, under poured and low quality product. To top it off, we couldn't get our party of 8 guests, split into 3 checks. Horrible experience.

We are here over our vacation . The food was great; much better than expected. Our server Michael was wonderful, so friendly, and best of all, he was super concientious about or son's food allergies!

Service was unorganized and there was no flexibly on the menu. I wanted black beans in stead of refried and they said no. Then I asked to not include the beans at all, and they again said no. Strange. The food was actually good, had the viva Mexico burrito, but the service we had was less than par.

The Viva Mexico! Burrito is one heck of a plate, it may seem like a small meal, but once you see that burrito it stuffs you like a cuddly bear. Great place, not everything in the menu is good, better know what your getting. I love making friends with the pigeons lol.

Ok let me just say that this restaurant may have the best location in town at the end of santa monica pier and the sunset was beautiful but thats about it. The food was just revolting. The tomatoes tasted like they were rinsed off with soap water to a point where there was no tamato flavor left at all. I had the mexican combo or something with tacos, burritos and all that. My plate was filled up with a goo consisting of cheese, dough and black beans which looked like they had been eaten before. Anyways, when we got our so called food my friends and I had no forks and knives so we had to wait untill one of the horrible waiters passed by to ask him if we were supposed to eat with our hands. Speaking of those wonderful waiters one of them spilled water on me and didnt even care to apologize. I am not even exaggerating. + there was lovely street artist a couple feet away blasting our ears to songs of adele with her crow like voice. Worst restaurant experience ever.
