The term “silent majority” is now, according to the left, a racist term Apparently, to members of the association for the perpetually offended “silent majority’ is a code for white people wanting the world to go back to the way it was years ago. These whites want to take their country back from those who are not white.

I rarely agree with labor unions, and I look pretty skeptically at the arguments of health insurance companies too. They’re both pretty shameless about pursuing their own self-interests regardless of how it affects anyone else. But sometimes they’re right, and they’re right in the current push to see the ObamaCare Cadillac Tax repealed.

Cops in Houston, Texas are blaming the increasingly violent Black Lives Matter movement for the unprovoked killing Friday of a uniformed white sheriff’s deputy allegedly committed by a black man who snuck up on the officer without saying a word and fired a gun repeatedly into his body until he was dead.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! This week at a Colorado fundraiser House Speaker John Boehner stunned donors when he referred to Texas Senator Ted Cruz as a “jackass.” During remarks at the event for Congressman Scott Tipton, Boehner said he was grateful that Cruz was often campaigning for President, which kept that “jackass” away from Capitol Hill.

The Kurds are surging in Iraq again.  Kurdish fighters are successfully attacking both the Islamic state and other terrorist factions in Syria and Iraq; as we saw with the Kurdish capture of many Iraqi villages two days ago.  The recent Kurdish push in Iraq occurs in spite of Turkey’s President Erdogan and his counterproductive air campaign against Kurdish fighters.  To make matters worse Kurdish hopes for autonomy rights in Iranian held areas will more or less cease to be an obtainable reality, if Tehran builds a viable nuclear weapon.  Thusly faced with this grim nuclear reality the nation of Kurdistan is doing its best to utilize anything it can to strip Tehran of power and land.  One would think these negatives would have the Kurds down and out but Kurdish will, national unity, and morale it is as strong as ever, it is just plain amazing.  The spirit of the Kurdish people is compelling to say the least.

The argument has been ever-present, where ObamaCare is concerned, that mandating generous benefits while forbidding insurers from considering factors like pre-existing conditions, could only result in one thing: Sky-high, jacked up premiums for everyone. It’s simple economics. You can’t artificially heighten demand by forcing everyone to buy, while also mandating a gold standard in coverage, and not see prices soar.

California State Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, R-Lake Elsinore, requested an audit of Planned Parenthood. Her request was a response to videos by a pro-life organization using undercover style reporting revealing Planned Parenthood officials discussing selling the body parts of aborted babies on the black market. She intended that the audit of California’s Planned Parenthood locations would ensure the organization is not illegally profiting from the donation of aborted baby tissue. Her request was rejected by a State legislative committee on Tuesday, August 25.

I’ll be honest. I sort of assumed it was a toupee too, mainly because I can’t work out the physics of where it starts and how it swoops in those implausible directions. But you can look at my picture. Like I know anything about full heads of hair and how they operate. If it turns out that thing is real . . . I just don’t know what to believe about anything anymore.

While mainstream newspapers continue to buoy his character and policies, hoping for another Bush-Clinton mix-up in 2016, the third Bush candidate for President is finding that he is indeed having to fight for the nomination, and despite his plainspoken views and honesty in debates, plus the large campaign cash at his disposal, no one is really interested in Jeb.

Radio Host Dave Levine, a host on KMET 1490 AM on Monday, wrote on his blog, “Arkansas is the fourth state to terminate such contracts with the Feds—New Hampshire, Alabama and Louisiana are the others. By this time next year, 30-plus states will have stopped funding the baby killer company.”

—Satire
Recently, Ace Reporter Hugh Betcha—named Univision’s “Most Trusted Conservative Reporter, 2015,” and MSNBC’s “Reporter We Would Most Like to Hang Out With, 2015”  overheard a discussion in the ObamaMedia about Republican politicians’ charitable giving habits. Since liberal politicians are so caring for the poor, since Hillary is taking a nose dive in the polls, and kindly Uncle Joe Biden is about to enter the race for President, Hugh decided to explore the would-be Democrat standard bearer’s history of charitable giving. Certainly his private giving must match his avowed love of and desire to help the poor.

Once again, Donald Trump has managed to open up a robust national discussion about an issue that up to this point had been largely ignored by the political class. This time, the discussion is about so-called “birthright citizenship,” the idea that whenever a foreign national (regardless of legal status and with a very few exceptions) has a child on American soil, this child automatically becomes an American citizen from birth. This approach to citizenship has been the de facto (though not de jure) approach to the issue of “anchor babies,” the children of illegal aliens who come to the United States so that they can have their children here, thus allowing the parents to remain as well, usually helping themselves to generous American benefit monies.
