Learning new skills as adults is difficult. As we age we become creatures of habit. Experience has taught us what we are good at and what we should avoid. Learning a new skill as an adult should in fact be easier than as a child because we do develop learning agility through our experiences. The biggest barrier to learning a new skill as an adult is the fear of failure. Adults don't commit themselves to learning new skills because ...

Enhance your leadership capability through art.
Max DePree, the founder and CEO of office furniture company Herman Miller, wrote a book titled “Leadership is an Art.” It’s a good read and offers lots of valuable leadership nuggets. Recently I attended a creativity workshop at at McColl Center for Art + Innovation here in Charlotte, and the program got me thinking about …

Several years ago I had the unique opportunity to sit down with the former CEO of one of the worlds most prestigious investment banks.  During our conversation, I asked about his role as CEO and his leadership style.  His answer surprised me.  He saw his number one responsibility being to ask questions.  Rather than seeing the top leadership role as being the person to provide the answers, he saw his responsibility as asking the right questions. ...

We have been Euroswise customers and fans for several years. It is nice to have an honest, high quality shop in Charlotte that does great work at rates much more affordable than the dealer. Phil and team at the Springbrook location worked on our Audi's and BMWs. Alex and his team at the newer location off Kenley are top notch. Just had my Range Rover Evoque brakes replaced and a tune up at half the dealer ticket price. Definitely highly recommend Eurowise for all future automotive needs.
