Are you asking the right questions when evaluating software solutions?

This is a good article from Salesforce.com and you can apply it to buying any kind of software or solution.  In our business, we hear almost every day how a law office has purchased a costly piece of software that is being under-utilized, nobody is sufficiently trained and they can't find good help or retain them long enough to effectively train them.  These are things we love to hear because we have the solution to all of these pain points.

I would add the question "Are you better off doing it yourself or can you find someone that can do it better for less?"  We know that outsourcing isn't for everyone, but there are a lot of good firms and lawyers languishing with the billing each month and what they don't realize is that for the equivalent of 1-2 billable hours a month they can have the billing quickly and efficiently and all they have to do is minimally manage the process to completion.
