Today is International Polar Bear Day! We thought we would celebrate this incredible Arctic predator by sharing some fun facts ...

Did you know that polar bears are in fact black? Their skin is dark to absorb as much energy from the sun as possible, with hollow hairs giving the appearance of a white pigment. Polar bears are also the largest land carnivore in the world!

The best way to learn more is to join us on one of our polar bear watching holidays > http://www.wildlifeworldwide.com/discover/wildlife/polar-bear-watching
