I too was in the Moving Beyond the Status Quo session yesterday. I loved that so many people said that they were uncomfortable taking a risk and blogging because they were afraid of offending their teachers or peers. Then +Jimmy Casas said that instead of thinking about "What is the worst thing that could happen" scenario, he encouraged us to be brave, take a chance to change people's minds, and to think of the risk as "What is the best thing that could happen?" instead. Jimmy's words  have really stuck with me as I can see they have with you.
I know that you have valuable and insightful things to say, especially when you are being reflective of your practice. I encourage you to share those ideas with the world. We are listening.
For a long time I have felt like I am at the edge of greatness. I try to surround myself with really smart people and big thinkers, hoping to soak up just a little of their awesome. I was around greatness, but just far enough...

Sorry for the cross post!

I am looking into different LMS. I would love to hear which LMS you are using and why. I know Edmodo and Google Classroom well. What about Canvas? Or My Big Campus?
Why did your district choose the LMS they did?
What did the teachers think?

Have you joined ICE's new community? It is a great place to network, gather resources and share what you are thinking about.

We are a high school district in the SW suburbs of just under 4K students.  We had MS Sharepoint before, but it wasn't required for the teachers to use.  We are a 1:1 Chromebook school, so our students and teachers all use Haiku.  For teachers, we introduced it over the course of 1 year with different levels of "requirements" as the year went on.  It started simple.  Feel free to email me at katefahey@gmail.com if you'd like to talk more!

Have you heard this question before? "Who is using Twitter in the classroom? Just curious."
