Regarding the Ashley Madison hack...

My personal email address is on the list. Some jackhole signed up using my uber-popular Gmail address instead of their own.

So if your partner is on their list, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. But if your partner was on the list and cops to cheating, ditch them because not only are they unfaithful, they're also stupid. With a slogan like "Life is short. Have an affair," anyone making themselves a target by using these services deserves pretty much what they get. My guess is that these hackers just beat the actual Ashley Madison service to finding a way to blackmail users.

For the record, here's the notification I received from them some time ago:

If every discussion between candidates and representatives from Black Lives Matter turns into a game of "I win, you lose," it's a damned shame, because black lives really do matter.

Bellevue Arts Fair.... There was only one jellyfish more beautiful, but it was huge and cost the same as a new car $29,500). It wasn't hard to settle for its little cousin.

It's made by Sam Hingston. Check out his work here: http://www.samhingston.com/

A cool, rainy summer weekend in Seattle?!

Okay! I'll take it! It's a nice change of pace...

Almost makes me wish I used Office, but... Nah. I'm still happy with my Google Apps.

Still, I won't judge you for using the tools you're most comfortable with...
Still use MS Office and also use Google Drive? If so, check out this new plugin.

Congrats +Darrell Kuhn

I've never seen this one before:

From the UPS tracking page:
"A train derailment has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible. / Delivery will be rescheduled."

I promised my son that I would stop screaming, tonight. I'm so afraid of breaking my promise.

This is going to be very hard, but I'm tired of getting angry all of the time.

I told him to mark the date. July 20, 2015 is my #FreshStart

I just wrote this elsewhere and I'd like to capture it here for posterity:

I know I'll get tagged for Godwin's law for this, but I find a comparison between [the removal of the confederate battle flag from the South Carolina Capitol as being seen as a terminus in the on-going conversation about racial division in the United States today] and German naziism and what the swastika has come to represent. When a large number of Germans who didn't actively partake in the Nazi party had finally realized what their idealistic society had birthed, they were overcome with guilt, so much so that psychologists of the time (no less than Carl Jung) referred to this very common symptom as Kollektivschuld, or "collective guilt".

When I look for parallels with the U.S. civil war, I see a distinct lack of them. Southerners and Northerners alike never accepted the responsibility of having slavery embedded into our Constitution. There was no guilt and there was no reparation. Instead, most people continue to stand by ignorantly or tacitly while the effects of our ancestors policies result in perpetual race division.

Short of convincing everyone that we need to instantly and randomly redistribute wealth and property, I don't know how the problem can be solved, and I feel like by just standing by and acknowledging that a problem exists, I'm still not helping to solve the problem. Every tax dollar I pay to incarcerate another black man so he can have his right to vote removed just perpetuates this.

And I hate that I do it. And I hate that I have no answer. And I know I'm part of the problem.

Struck up a conversation with one of my exes, one of the ones schooled me about music. She's been listening to https://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#/sr/Saint+Vincent recently and ... it's really good!
