I almost forgot that the Ursa Major Awards has posted a list of Nominees which can be found HERE

I was thinking of Nominating myself until I found out the last date for entry expired 6 days ago. If your thinking “How on earth could they nominate himself? After really looking into how the Ursa Major Awards actually works…it seems they operate more like Wikipedia than anything else. Yes, you can make a suggestion whom you like to see Nominated. But when Voting comes around, it’s more a popularity contest, as in the one who gets the most votes WIN.

I am not bashing Ursa Major just stating the facts. It’s like their voting system. They claim it’s guaranteed to prevent people from voting multiple times. I don’t claim to be a computer expert but even I saw ways around this.

Then there is Ursa Major itself, how many who are actually reading these words has ever hear about it or let alone has been to their site. When I was at MFF 2018 I did my own informal poll and the results were: Unless you were involved in publishing or am a hardcore or published author you have never heard about them. I could not find a single person outside of writing and blogs that has even heard of Ursa Major Awards, let alone voted on their site.

If you have been following me for a while, you know I reblog my posts equally on various sites. Namely Twitter and G+ and yes Tumblr and I am also aware of how has put a halt to adult theme posts. If you wonder how they are doing this look no further as I recently discovered the answer.

They are using software to track adult posts down on their site. The software isn’t far from accurate. The truth is it’s quite faulty, although I will admit it did track down some adult posts I did make. Others were beyond explanation, for example why were some YouTube videos Flagged? Especially those from the Gateway FurMeet. I am not joking every single one of those videos I posted were flagged, and no nothing adult could be even found on those videos or YouTube would of Flagged them. Also some comic ones admit are from the Bizarro comic which I sometimes post.
