I have never been to any of the surrounding hotels or places to eat, i have only snowboarded on the Big Boulder Ski Resort Hill. This is a great hill for skiers and snowboarders all around. They have basic hills for people just starting out, they also have to Black Diamonds for the expert skiers, and if you know where to look you can find some trees to dip and dodge though! As for Jack Frost Ski Resort, Personally i believe this mountain is for more advanced boarders/skiers. There is some beginner hills but they are much steeper then Boulders. I would rather go to Jack Frost due to my experience. I also enjoy that mountain much better!

Had my 3 year old and 5 year old in the Snowmonsters classes and it was a great experience. Arrived at 8am got great parking in the first lot, purchased the lessons and finished getting my kids set up in the lodge. My kids were in 2 different classes based on their age and all the instructors were energetic and friendly to the kids. The program for each was appropriate and they made great progress, the 5 yr old even got to ride the chair lift. Every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful and I'll be going back with the family often.

Terrible place to teach your kids how to ski. I asked if my two older kids (9 & 11) could be together and if my 5 year old twins could be together. I was emphatically told that all kids would be evaluated by ability and placed in the appropriate program. This turned out be a crock of bull excrement. The oldest and best skier was put in a class with his 5 year old sister. The 9 year old was placed in the advanced class, and the other 5 year old was put in with the toddlers and basically did nothing other than eat cookies despite being the a much better skier than his twin sister. Now the two younger kids hate skiing despite loving it the first time we went to Elk. Thanks JFBB - You suck.

Nice place, easy to arrive, workers extremely nice and kind. I won't give it 5 stars just because being used to ski in europe the slopes are very short and the lifts slow, but it's an overall good place to go skiing.

my son(18 years) and myself love this ski resort. trails are short but wide and the snow whether man made or natural is the best in the poconos. trails are always well groomed and fun to ride. thanks JFBB. the staff is very friendly too!!!

I would say it's good relative to other Pocono Skiing. The snowmaking is good, the trails are short and wide. The lift lines are relatively short.....move least they did on 2/14 Staff is friendly and very willing to help..... My 14 year old liked it..... I'm good. Parking doesn't suck.....

Great place for kids to learn! The kids say the park is the best. The snow is good, the trails are fun. Easy to get set up with the family, unload the car with all the gear.

Just spent our first day at Jack Frost, and were absolutely delighted. The rental boot lady was exceptional. The other rental staff were also wonderful and very friendly. The food was excellent, including a good range of healthy options. The trails are very good (I have skied in the French Alps and Austria.) and the grooming was excellent. All in all it was a wonderful day and we plan to be back many times.
