I just wanted to say that every week I go to this location for take out lunch. I love Vidal, the to go server. He has the warmest spirit and the friendliest attitude. I wish more customer service individuals would take as much pride in their position as he does. I come back for the good food but truth be told its Fidel that makes it GREAT!

I'm absolutely shocked this restaurant doesn't have a straight 5 star rating! If you have been to Carrabba's, but not this one or the one on Voss, you have never been to a Carrabba's. Those are the only two still owned by the family and although the menu is the same, the restaurants are entirely different. They are only affiliated in name, you can't even use gift cards interchangeably (I found this out the hard way). Everything is good, but my favorite by far is the Veal Picatta. If you're not adverse to eating a baby cow, you will love it.

I once heard that Johnny's mom still goes into this location every morning bright and early to make marinara. True or not, it feels like it. The new location is massive and caters to waitlist full of diners every day, lunch and dinner, yet it still feels like your family. At a restaurant with white tablecloths, mise en place service and $25+ entrees, you expect the service to be formal and polite. Yet, at Carabbas, the servers warm up to you with excitedness, jokes and warm smiles. However, despite the carefree nature, service is impeccable. Oh, and the food isn't half bad either! The only other restaurant that serves lump crab in big ol' chunks is El Tiempo. Seriously, get the stuffed shrimp and tell me you aren't impressed with the amount of jumbo lump crab for the price. Also, I swear they make the best Osso Buco I have ever had. Ever! Tip: for dinner, ask to sit at the pasta bar and watch the saute chefs instead of dealing with the wait for a table.

Carrabba's is one of those solid places I forget about when choosing a restaurant. With so many new restaurants popping up, it's sometimes hard to remember the old classics. Usually I end up there with my family, seeing as though we have been going for birthday dinners and celebrations since I was ordering off of the kid's menu...which is exactly what brought us there tonight. If you're going to go to a Carrabba's, DEFINITELY choose the Kirby location or the one on Voss, the only two that are still family-owned. I really do think it shows in the quality and consistency of the food. Not to mention, the new building on Kirby is pretty nice! The thing I crave the most on the Carrabba's menu is totally random...the House Salad. Boring you say? Not even close! Crisp romaine, carrots and celery in a creamy parmesan dressing. And tonight I got super crazy and added crab cakes. Tasty! A generous portion of the salad, plus a delicious bread basket and Carrabba's signature herb mix/olive oil for dipping, and I was set! My other favorites on the menu are the Chicken Bryan, grilled chicken topped with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and basil lemon butter sauce, and the Chicken Marsala. My mom had the marsala, so you better believe my fork made its way over to her plate a few times. My only gripes about Carrabba's are the massive portions and the prices to match. If you're not a leftovers lover, be prepared to either be filled to the brim by the time you leave, or waste half your plate. I realize this is a common problem in our fine country, so I guess if I'm going to have to deal with it, I'd prefer it be with a huge plate of rich, cheesy, carby, pasta goodness. Last but not least...DESSERT. It was a birthday celebration so we had to have birthday cake(s). I can't resist the Sogno Di Cioccolata (Chocolate Dream)...fudge brownie with chocolate mousse and whipped cream, swimming in a pool of warm chocolate sauce. Must I go further? My mom had the Rosa, butter cake topped with pastry cream, bananas, strawberries, pineapple and whipped cream. It was fresh, sweet and delicious. For a more interesting Italian experience, I might send someone to Poscol or Dolce Vita, but for a solid and familiar Italian meal? Carrabba's it is!

My experience here was amazing! From the waiter who told us about the history of Carrabba's to the bread and herb spice medley. Simple things, but it mattered a lot to me because it was my first time at this restaurant and I felt that they went above and beyond to accommodate, my friends and I who arrived a little later than expected. They food was brought out quick and it was seasoned pretty well. I had the Linguine Pescatore which was the mixed seafood, but I altered it a bit to only have shrimp.

People giving maximum stars don't have much dining experience. The food is mediocre, which is typical of Carraba's. However, someone felt the need to inflate prices at this particular location, and unjustifiably so. Save your money and dine elsewhere. Your options aren't limited. For the price of a dinner for two at this Carraba's, you can enjoy finer food and ambiance at a wide selection of authentic Italian restaurants.

I ordered Pollo Rosa Maria, the whole thing was super salty, chicken, sauce, pasta, not enjoyable at all, I did mention it to the server... $28 kinda expensive for a meal I didn't enjoy at all...
