All 2015 Honda CR-Vs have significant changes, but the top-of-the-line 2015 CR-V Touring trim also includes some new safety features that actively avoid collisions and can almost do the driving for you.  See my full review on Autos.ca   http://www.autos.ca/car-test-drives/test-drive-2015-honda-cr-v-touring/

Test Drive: 2015 Nissan Rogue SL AWD:  after a total redesign last year, the Nissan Rogue returns for 2015 with some minor enhancements. 2015 MSRPs have risen anywhere from $300 to $900, depending on the trim level. As we reported in our First Drive and Test Drives of the 2014 Rogue, this second generation compact SUV is bigger, roomier and shapelier than the first generation Rogue which was sold from 2008 through 2013. The second generation Rogue has the same 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine as the first generation Rogue, but its towing capacity of 454 kg (1,000 lb) has been reduced from 680 kg (1,500 lb)   The Rogue is not an exciting vehicle to drive, but acceleration is adequate, it has a comfortable ride, the steering is nicely weighted for ease of parking, and it’s quiet on the freeway. The Rogue's standard continuously variable transmission seems improved from earlier versions. First Drive of the 2015 Subaru Impreza sedan and hatch:  the styling is basically the same and all Imprezas continue to offer all-wheel drive as standard equipment, but the standard 148-hp 2.0-litre engine still feels underpowered at times.  The CVT has been improved with artificial shift bumps, and the Eyesight collision avoidance system is now optional on top trim models.  Read my full review on Autos.ca

The little-est Prius is easier to drive in the city and gets great fuel economy - but could use an interior upgrade.  See my complete review of the Toyota Prius c on Autos.ca

The Europeans are leading the way in diesel powered luxury cars in North America.  Audi's new mid-size A6 is now available with their latest 3.0-litre diesel V6 and 8-speed automatic transmission. The benefits are good fuel economy and great throttle response while the traditional diesel disadvantages of engine clatter and dirty emissions have been minimized.  Check out my test drive of the Audi A6 TDI on Autos.ca!http://www.autos.ca/car-test-drives/test-drive-2014-audi-a6-tdi-diesel-technik/?all=1

Test Drive: 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid.  Like its cousin, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, the Kia Optima Hybrid has a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission rather than the more common continuously variable transmission (CVT).  This creates a more traditional 'up and down' shift feel for the driver and passengers.  The Optima Hybrid also has a different kind of hybrid battery - lithium polymer - rather than nickel metal hydride or lithium ion. But you won't notice any power difference.  And though the Optima Hybrid's battery is smaller and positioned behind the rear seat, the car's trunk size is actually smaller than its competitors'.  Still the Optima Hybrid is a very stylish car that is well equipped and offers fuel economy of 6.5 L/100 km city and 5.9 L/100 km highway, according to the EPA.  Read my full review of the 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid on Autos.ca  http://www.autos.ca/car-test-drives/test-drive-2014-kia-optima-hybrid-ex-premium/

If the lease on your Mercedes-Benz C 350 4Matic sedan is coming due soon and you’re considering stepping into the all-new C 400 4Matic sedan, here’s what you can expect: gutsier acceleration, improved fuel economy, superior handling, upgraded interior quality, a roomier cabin, a fancier infotainment system, more safety features, and a new exterior design that takes obvious styling cues from the swanky, top-of-the-line S-Class sedan. Oh, yes, and a higher price tag.

Now available with a turbo Diesel engine, the X3 is not the most powerful diesel SUV in its class, but it is the most fuel efficient and drives with the confident handling and low- end torque responsiveness that the new Diesel engine provides. You can read my full review on Autos.ca.

Only 2000 of these 50th Anniversary Special Edition Toyota Corollas have been produced and they're only available in Canada.  Modifications are entirely cosmetic though, so while it looks faster, it won't actually go any faster...  See my complete review on Autos.ca

Newly redesigned, the 2015 Honda Fit has more passenger room, clever folding rear 'Magic Seats', a more fuel efficient and more powerful engine, and a newly available continuously variable transmission that's not as horrible as many other CVTs.  Check out my full test drive report on www.Autos.ca

GMC introduced the new 2015 Yukon and long wheelbase Yukon XL in the Yukon Territory where this full-size SUV didn't seem quite so big as it might have in downtown Vancouver!  The available 5.3-litre V8 and 6.2-litre V8 (in the Denali trim) proved powerful enough to haul these big vehicles around - which weigh up to 6000 lbs!  With a full-time 4WD system, 8 inches of ground clearance, rugged body-on-frame design, 20 and 22-inch tires, the Yukon is a great all-weather vehicle.  The long wheelbase XL seats up to 9 people, so many families use it as a kind of minivan.  The Denali is like a luxury vehicles with top quality materials and features.  For a full report on  the new Denali, why not read my First Drive report on Autos.ca?

It's been five years since the current Toyota Prius was redesigned, but it still offers the best fuel economy among non plug-in hybrids and is statistically very reliable.  A new Prius will probably arrive in 2015, but there is a good case for staying with the current, proven model.  Read my full review on Autos.ca  http://www.autos.ca/car-test-drives/test-drive-2014-toyota-prius/
