This Supreme Court decision isn't getting much press but it's just as bad as the Hobby Lobby one.
Supreme Court focus on public-private divide mischaracterizes vast female, immigrant workforce as 'just moms'

Its a good thing we have GPS now. Otherwise, we'd all be going someplace that's not quite where we intended.

Great idea. Don't test, let real users just USE them.
Ford started testing the durability of aluminum construction in pickup trucks way back in 2011, loaning out vehicles to construction, mining and utility companies without telling them about the upgrades.

There is something wrong with the economy. Is this it? Or, at least, a big part of it?
Companies are sitting on mountains of liquidity, thanks to government policies; the losers are the economy and all of us

Amazon and Walmart, actually bad for the consumer? Maybe.

This seems like a neat idea.
The world’s mega cities are certainly getting more and more densely populated as well as congested, as just about everyone wants in on the action...

Been playing around with SaltStack and it's pretty cool. We used CFEngine at NHGRI and it always bugged me that it used a unique syntax for its configuration files. Salt, by default, uses YAML, but it allows you to use others, like Python, if that's what you're familiar with. Imagine that. A configuration tool that allows me to configure it.

Another thing I like about Salt is that you can use it to run arbitrary commands on the minion systems. So, if you want to know if all of them have the same file in /tmp, you can just do:

salt '*' cmd.run "ls /tmp/fred"

This is another argument for term limits, in my opinion.

What a great read. American workers are screwing themselves and big business is perfectly happy with that.
