While writing the recap of last night's Game of Thrones episode, I noticed the way HBO cut from Cersei's deadly kiss to her kissing Jaime. I think this might be foreshadowing. Read more here: http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/season-7-recaps/ep3

Finally, after a very slow start this season, we are back! First post... a bit nerdy, but it is leading into more interesting stuff. Dothraki and Proto-Indo-Eureopeans. http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/ancienthistory/dothraki-pie

Perhaps Game of Thrones piracy drove HBO to offer stand-alone service. According to TimeWarner execs, sometime fairly soon you will be able to get HBO GO without paying for cable TV. http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/gameofthrones/hbo-without-cable #gameofthrones

Olga's amazing interview with historian Ian Stephenson about the Vikings and the Ironborn is out now. Definitely check it out - I was dazzled by Olga's insightful questions and Ian's amazingly in-depth answers. It is nice to hear a published historian speaking about Game of Thrones. http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/gameofthrones/viking-ian-stephenson #gameofthrones

Historian and novelist Dr. John Henry Clay introduces us to the dramatic Brunhild - and wow what a dramatic story she has. I didn't know anything about her before he wrote the article. Definitely check out: http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/gameofthrones/cersei/brunhild #gameofthrones #history

Great article by Olga Hughes on the Wars of the Roses and Game of Thrones - in particular, the relationship between the brothers. #gameofthrones #warsoftheroses #richardiii http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/gameofthrones/brothers-apart-oathbreakers-and-turncloaks

Another installment of our princes in the Tower series. This time about Tyrion's great escape and the man who might have been king: Perkin Warbeck. http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/warofroses/lost-princes-tyrion

We are thrilled to have historian and novelist John Henry Clay write this great article about the Wall in Game of Thrones and Hadrian's Wall. The photos are stunning so check it out: http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/ancienthistory/the-wall #gameofthrones #WatchersontheWall #TaketheThrone

The Battle of Castle Black is bigger, better, and more exciting than Season 1′s Battle of the Blackwater, which Neil Marshall also directed. If I had to rate “The Watcher’s on the Wall,” I would fly in the face of some critics and give it a ten. http://history-behind-game-of-thrones.com/episode-recap/ep9-season4 #gameofthrones #WatchersontheWall
