It turns out that my rear derailleur, which had seemed to be getting looser as the ride progressed, was in fact getting looser.  As I down-shifted into the final hill on the way home, it sheared completely off my frame and wedged itself in the spokes of my rear wheel.  I'm just glad it waited until a moment when I was travelling at a slow speed and was almost home!

This is totally cool that I had to look up more.

I wonder how he feels about mechanical pencils, and the people that use them? Oh... The Finer Points of David Rees (fast-forward to 9m 45s). NSFW :D

My favorite part starts here at 3:10 (tracks, trains). But it's all entertaining.

Bloody AWESOME! :)  Safe, secure, housing for bikes...extremely inventive, ...the only thing though I was really surprised about is that they use a membership/account card to access the bike!  Don't loose that!  I would have thought that was would be more tech-y.  But the video from the bike and internal storage area was really cool, sort of reminded me of visiting the Toyota factory in Toyota City, Japan and seeing all the amazing robotics there!  Thanks for sharing this find!

I was terrified that the singing of the song was going to have an ironic, tragic consequence. Whew!

Crazy. The two kids in the bunk bed kinda made me sad, though. That's gotta be an intense way to grow up.

Delightful chocolate beverages-- bitter unsweetened cold brewed cacao nibs, and "chocolate beer" (non-alcoholic-- cold brewed cacao nibs, carbonated, with a thin foamy head)

Great food-- flavorful, slightly spicy. Excellent beef noodle soup in particular.

A really great brewery tour-- such friendly people, in-depth explanation of the fermentation process and equipment, great selection of tasters and a pint glass, and sunny outdoor space for people and dogs to hang out after the tour. The porter, winter ale (seasonal), and lager were highlights for me.

Excellent bakery worth the detour. Amazing scones and "egyptian bread" and a lush, wild outdoor garden (especially in summer/fall).
