I was very impressed by my experience at Abbey Burger Bistro. It's the very definition of hole-in-the-wall burger joint based on its location, but it has an upscale interior and menu to match. Tremendous burger selection and I recommend the waffle fries. It's a little pricey but not unreasonably so, considering the neighborhood. Worth a visit down this little alley!

The best burgers I have ever had and several friends agree. The variety of meats on the regular menu plus the meats of the month are awesome. The waiters and waitresses know how each meat should be cooked to have it turn out juicy and delicious (listen to them!!). Habanero pickle slices are phenomenal. Tater tots, fries and onion rings are all delicious. The skillet cookie is amazing (request to have it with Baileys ice cream instead of vanilla!)

Burger was pretty good I must say. But I have one major complain, fries were cold !!!! And to me that's not acceptable at all. Pricey by the way for a burger. Good choice for beer.

The short: DO NOT EAT HERE. THESE PEOPLE WILL WASTE HOURS OF YOUR TIME AND LEAVE YOU HUNGRY. PLEASE HEED MY WARNING. The long: Having owned two restaurants for several years I can easily describe this place is the single-most incompetently managed establishment I've ever eaten at. Food was decent the first time I ate here. Service was slow. The second time is the last time I will ever eat here. I spend 20 minutes and 9 seconds on the phone, ATTEMPTING TO PLACE AN ORDER, with the assistant manager who asked repeatedly "please bear with me" WHILE I REPEATED THE SAME ORDER NINE TIMES. I CALLED AT 10:39 PM AND WASTED 20 MINUTES AND 9 SECONDS OF MY LIFE THAT I WILL NEVER GET BACK TRYING TO PLACE AN ORDER!!! 20 MINUTES AND 9 SECONDS!! BURGER KING CAN TAKE AN ORDER AND NOT MESS IT UP IN 60 SECONDS!!! The woman asked for 30 minutes for the order to be completed and the restaurant was quiet in the background so I could tell they were slow, but judging by the fact that this woman had so incapably taken my order, I allocated considerably more time and gave her 45 minutes, and when I showed up at 11:45, unsurprisingly, my order was full of mistakes, and my bill was double what it should have been. Flash forward another 45 minutes and at 12:28AM I'm still waiting for her my food, and for the mistakes to be remade. During the time that I have been waiting here, four groups of 2 to 4 different guys left the restaurant complaining that they placed their orders two to three times and never gotten food. When I arrived, there was a poor Latino man who didn't speak English very well, who was trying to close out his check and leave. By the time my food was ready at 12:35, almost A FULL TWO HOURS AFTER I FIRST SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER TO PLACE MY ORDER, it was finally ready and ALL OF IT WAS COLD, and the poor Latino man was anxiously pacing about his seat trying to get the woman's attention so that he could get his check and leave. I felt so bad that I don't speak better Spanish so that I could help him. DO NOT EAT HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Bad. Ass. I'm from cattle country so I know about good burgers and these folks know what's up. Small, simple, and off the main drag. The menu looks pretty cool but all you really need to know about is the build-a-burger menu. Awesome variety of meats, cheeses, and toppings. Be as simple or adventurous as you like. My personal choice: smoked angus (med-rare, duh) brie, peanut butter, fried egg, and spicy creme fraiche. Get some. Great beer list to boot.

This is the best burger spot in Baltimore, and the burgers are about as good as any burger from anywhere. You have to mentally prepare before you go, because it can be overwhelming. You sit down. You get handed a checklist on a clipboard and a pencil. Good luck. You're gonna need it. Or you could just get the Baltimore burger. You can't go wrong with crab dip on a burger.

Do you like burgers? Eat here. Are you interested in trying some non-standard burgers? Such as wild boar, kangaroo, yak, or something else? Then you should definitely eat here. Quite possibly the best burgers in the city. Note: It can get a bit busy on Friday / Saturday evenings due to its location in Fed Hill. Especially if there is a big sports event happening. I would advise making a reservation.
