History World Tour in Tunisia
In a statement released through Kingdom Entertainment, Michael Jackson said, "This concert will be of special significance for me because it will be my first in Africa and the Arab World. The people and nations of both regions have always held a special place in my heart and I always wanted to perform for them."
"I am particularly delighted that this concert will be in Tunisia, a peaceful and tolerant nation which cares equally for men, women and children. Proceeds from my concert will go to a national charity helping the needy and that's an extra source of satisfaction for me."
Michael Jackson's concert will benefit "The National Solidarity Fund," a Tunisian charity dedicated to fighting poverty. Kingdom Entertainment is a Paris-based multimedia corporation jointly owned by Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saoud and Michael Jackson.
In a message broadcast by Tunisian television Monday evening, Michael Jackson told his Tunisian fans, "I am coming to see you Insh'Allah the 7th of October. I cannot wait."
