There are 2 outlet malls on Long Island, and I'm sure people still prefer this one, even if the drive might be long for most people. There are a lot of name brand stores here & you're most likely to find the better prices here. There is not much else to do here, besides eat at the food court, except shop and that might be enough for people. I'm not a fan of the layout of the mall. There's 2 sections, the parking lot is in the middle & the stores run along the lot in a U-shape. You pass by the stores one at a time & that makes for a lot of walking. To get to the other side, you need to go in your car and drive there. It does get packed here, so now you're forced to give up your spot to try to find another. Still, this is the best outlet mall in terms of pricing and that's what makes people come back.

Went to Tanger Outlet at Riverhead; went to Columbia sport store; the clerk or store worker was extremely rude- Kimberly; they should completely fire her and replace her. My mother was visiting from out of the country and was going back the next day. I understand it was snowing and looking really bad, but the way she treated a person let alone a person was completely out of the world. Kimberly told us that they were closing early and that she told my mom to get out of the store and wouldn't let her purchase anything.

Tanger Outlets is a dangerous place where people go to lose money and gain consumerism. Is that a bad thing? Not when I'm rocking my new Oakley's. Hater's gonna hate. This outlet is HUGE to the point of requiring at least a two day trip, a tent and a 24 pack of Coors Light to explore it all (I'm not the only one that camps out at outlets am I?) With every store imaginable from Fossil, Banana Republic, Under Armour, Nike, Gap, Michael Kors, etc etc. There are two areas, each has approx 25+ stores, a food court, and a black hole to take advantage of when wanting to hide from creditors.
