Intimate, secluded spot for sophisticated New American-French cuisine, housed in a former pharmacy.- Google
People talk about caramelized banana split, residential neighborhood, seared sea scallops, roasted chicken and garlic mashed potatoes

This is one of my favorite places to dine in the country and in my neighborhood. Sue does a great job with the menu and is constantly innovating. Patrick runs the front like a seasoned pro. If you want to dine at the best place in New Orleans then this might be it.

certainly worth a visit to this out of the way uptown bastion of haute cuisine. while the menu is somewhat limited, what is prepared is always good.

Gautreau's is somewhat hidden in a residential neighborhood in uptown New Orleans. You might miss it if you don't keep an eye out when walking down Soniat St. It's a relatively small, one room dining room, but the ambiance is cozy (it almost has a supper club feeling to it). The food is incredible – in fact, I have a hard time deciding what to order when I go because everything sounds delicious. Overall, a stellar dining experience.

True jewel in the city that is packed with wonderful food and restaurants. Patrick is a fabulous host and makes everyone feel like they are the only ones dining that night! The food is wonderful and it was the perfect treat for well traveled, "foodie" out of town guest on their first trip to New Orleans! They were impressed as we knew they we would be!
