So I'm in week one of my marathon training and I'm contemplating changing up what days I do which runs...because we all know to be a "awesome" runner you have to do different types of runs during the week and hit the long one on the weekends and cross train as well....so for next week will start track sessions once a week, hills will be at least once a week and a tempo run every other week....long run will include some hills as well.....so 5 days of running a week 2 hard 2 easy and one kinda easy....some people say do tempo runs every week and some say no...the same with track sessions....but hopefully my plan will work, we will see in Oct 12 at Long Beach International Marathon if the madness worked...will keep you posted....Run Fast Run Hard!!!!

+Steven O'Nan....Thanks for the feedback. There are so many plans out there people get confused on which one is best for them. I get asked alot about training plans. So I figured I would make my own and go from there if it works for me I will share it with my fellow runners...every 4th week is like a recovery week in which i think is really important so you don't get burned out or risk over training.....i like how you train

+Chris Carter..Yes you can....but you wanna do those faster than your HM pace...remember it's speedwork so let's say you anticipate a 1hr:30 min finish time so you should be doing your 400s in a 1 minute 30 sec.....if done correctly this workout works...next week I will be doing 1200s....
