The 'long and winding road' is the name I gave to a bike ride through the narrow paths of the Hong Kong countryside that I worked out three years ago. I regarded it as complete, with no options for improvement, but I was wrong. It is now even more of a challenge than ever.

Every so often, I get a chance to photograph the mixing of oil and rain, in interesting ways, and yesterday was one of those days. I took a lot of photos, and this post features 12 of the best.

I travel a lot around the villages of the New Territories on my bike, and I'm struck by the intricate craftsmanship to be seen on many traditional houses. Sadly, this work is not being maintained, and the houses are being allowed to decay. This post is part of a plan to document as much as I can before it vanishes for ever.

I note that the rules of this group forbid profanity and hate speech, so it is possible that by posting this link I am breaking those rules. However, I feel it necessary to do my best to point out the total ignorance of science demonstrated by US presidential hopeful Donald Trump, because that ignorance will have a profound effect on the rest of the world should he win next Tuesday.

By the way, don't think that I'm a Clinton supporter. She is merely the lesser of two evils ("the worst Democratic nominee for president since her husband 20 years ago" if you follow this link).
