Hey Foodies & Portlanders!

Recently I joined a startup called Local Plate, our goal is to make eating seasonally and locally a fun and easy experience! In an attempt to identify some of the leading issues local agriculture face today we've been talking to many local farmers, CSA's, food coop's, the list goes on ... we're now trying to learn the general public's opinion about eating locally and seasonally.

If you have a couple minutes we'd love to hear your thoughts, you can take the survey here:

Thanks so much!

Consumer SurveyThe purpose of this survey is to identify people's interest in eating locally and seasonally. Currently a popular method is through being a member of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). This is a system where members or subscribers pay at the onset of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest; once harvesting begins, they receive weekly shares of vegetables, fruit, etc.

Sweet!

Is the TV screen not enough for your viewing pleasure? Microsoft is banking on this with their latest idea, which turns the room around your TV into an extension of it. The product, IllumiRoom, uses a Kinect sensor and a projector to turn your entire room into a screen.

Learn more about this: http://on.mash.to/13vFHMH

The project is still just a prototype, but do you think you'd be interested in trying out the final product?
