Looking forward to another year of weddings and celebrations. So far the weather has been kind for weddings on the Mornington Peninsula - let's hope it stays that way through February and March, which are usually so beautiful for weddings. Happy planning brides and grooms!

My funniest wedding event yet happened at Portsea Hotel on a recent Saturday afternoon. Luckily the wedding had not commenced! I was just setting up in preparation for the ceremony, Testing the PA, final check of paperwork and certificate etc. Around from the corner of the pub comes a young man who had clearly been enjoying himself at the bar for some time, and starts to undress. What's going on here!? Yes, a streaker! Probably accepted a dare from one of his mates to run through the afternoon crowd - naked! Needless to say security had moved him on before the guests and bride arrived!

I just love this mother-son dance which surprised the guests - and the bride at this wedding! What a great relationship they must have had, and they are both great movers and shakers. Enjoy!

Is it a sign of a new union - two becoming as one, or does it signify losing your own identity i that of your husband's? You choose....

I have lived on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula for decades and am still amazed when I find beautiful new venues. Today's wedding was at the stunning Hummingbird Retreat in Red Hill - beautiful gardens surrounded by majestic gums. A perfect setting for a small wedding. Congratulations to Jaqueline and William!

Spring on the Mornington Peninsula has been wonderful this year - perfect for weddings and couples to celebrate. I have enjoyed  gorgeous occasions at Stillwater, Brooklands, The Briars and some lovely bckyard settings. Rustic designs and decorations are popular at the moment. Let's hope the weather keeps up for the next few weekends!
