We're still looking for participants for our Evernote visualization study. If you are an Evernote user and haven't had a chance to try our tool, give it a shot at http://medleynotes.appspot.com! Your anonymous data will help us better understand digital note taking practices, plus you get to play with some fun visualizations of your note taking history!

(Also, if you've already tried the tool, but haven't agreed to let us use your anonymous data, we'd really appreciate your contribution.)

So...apparently trying to buy a $10 round of Facebook advertising using a French credit card is enough for Facebook to block your ads account - permanently - without any recourse whatsoever.

That (plus the incredibly bugginess of Facebook's ads site and the total absence of customer support for ad buyers) strikes me as incredibly unproductive behavior for a company whose entire financial future is ostensibly premised on being able to sell ads effectively.

On to AdWords then!

We're starting a project on digital note taking and are looking for Evernote users to try out a prototype notebook visualization tool and share anonymized notebook data. You can try the initial tool here http://medleynotes.appspot.com (more visualizations to come).
If you know any one who uses (or has used) Evernote or can think of any groups who would be interested, feel free to pass it along!

I've been thinking about this for years! It's interesting to see someone finally trying to build a (somewhat) objective rating scheme for terms-of-service documents. It'll be interesting to see how their coverage scales (looks like currently they're relying on a small corp of people to dissect individual policies) and how they weight different policy aspects.

I'd love to see this kind of rating scheme instituted more formally and available on sites alongside the ToS - either via buy-in from the companies involved or via a browser plugin.

Anyone know if there are other similar efforts?

Enjoying my lunch at the corner of Bat Man and Webster.

Rarely have I been so amused by a single strip of duct tape. ;)

Decided to update the CommentSpace Tour de France Explorer (http://goo.gl/8RWvT). It's now getting updated daily with data from the 2011 Tour.

Not for research this year - just for fun.
