I was there on business for lunch. I ordered the pork chop. THIS is how the dish was described : barbecue rub, braised napa cabbage, green apple, sweet potato purée, dried cherry sauce. Not a bit of that did I see. I don't know what I got, it looked like some kind of risotto with carrots in it. Because I didn't want to complain in front of biz associates I didn't. Furthermore, the rolls were delivered lukewarm and tough. It appears the nuke their bread to warm it and in this case it was overly nuked because no one could actually eat it. The piece de resistance my colleague asked for a takeout for half her dish and they threw it away.. LOL..So I don't think I will be back at what used to be my favorite neighborhood restaurant any time soon. If ever...

I'm not sure what happened here... I booked a table for 3 for a birthday dinner well in advance. We were seated by the bar during a televised football game, making for a very noisy environment. The space is poorly lit - the regulars in the table next to us were using a flashlight. The calamari appetizer was good. Their soup special (butternut squash) appeared to be nearly unseasoned, as was the monkfish special. My date thought she detected sand in the lobster ravioli and my son who ordered the lollipop lamb chops (very expensive) found it too fatty to be edible. The only detectable flavors on the lamb and the monkfish appeared to be the charcoal from their grill. We didn't bother staying for dessert. We're not going to be going here again!

Amazing restuarant, great service even on a busy day. Food was brilliant Pork fillet and salmon were great and burger is more than a burger. P.s. Ask for Bryant's area, you won't be disappointed

This is another great SLoop spot. During the summertime, the outdoor patio is open and offers lots of seating in a really comfortable, enclosed courtyard. This is one of the only places that I know of to get a porkchop...and a good porkchop, no less. The food can get kind of pricey, though, so coming during lunchtime or happy hour is a good plan to take advantage of the discounts. The bar is pretty standard with an adequate selection of libations. At night, this is definitely an upscale place and perfect for dates - men often wear jackets - but during the day you will find far more casual apparel inside...so know that this place really is for everyone, but plan accordingly.

A steak house in an old firehouse that still retains the feel means you know that you are in for a great time for great American food. The atmosphere promises a good time and the staff and food both deliver. This is one of the few steak houses in the South Loop and fortunately with the quality here you probably won't need to really be looking for more. As usual for any who may follow my reviews I love a good outdoor area. The Chicago Firehouse has a great patio area for just that. While it's not as outstanding as some of the outdoor areas you can find in the city it's still pretty good and the food easily makes up for it. The lobster bisque, the Brussels sprouts, and the ribeye are pretty much my go to's here. I've tried a couple other things on the menu but I felt hard to stray from what I enjoy. The one downside here is the speed of service. This is where you are going to want to go for a relaxing lunch or dinner as you'll be here for awhile (and I'd double up your drink order with water if you enjoy hydrating while you eat.) It's a bit pricey but if you are wanting a good steak place and to stay in the south loop you'd be hard pressed to do better. If they sped up the service this would probably deserve a 5 star.

The entire menu is great, but I would recommend the filet, fantastic. Atmosphere is nice, great for business meetings. Can get a bit loud if sitting by the bar, so if you do host a meeting, I would ask to sit towards the back of the restaurant. Easily accessible in the South Loop...
