I am a huge fan of Marriott hotels and have always had a pleasant experience. This stay was not pleasant at all. Although minuscule in the grand scheme of life when I requested my room I specifically asked for a king size bed for my wife and I. We got two queens. I went to the desk and asked for a king and was lectured on how to set my rewards up to get what I want. When I told the lady I had already done that and that I did request the king (which she acknowledged) she told me "no, actually you didn't". Anyway, there were king bedrooms available and we were moved. Why we didn't get one in the first place is baffling. Secondly when ordering room service and requesting coffee with creamer we didn't get the creamer. No big deal. Once I called down to ask for creamer I got nothing but attitude and was ridiculed for not asking for some when the waiter was up here. Like I said, very minuscule but totally not up to standards on customer support for a Marriott.

We have been staying there for a week now. Only 1 elevator is working.I killed a roach in my room and have a continuous water drip from the ceiling mounted AC unit. The pool has a sheen/foam on the surface for several days. On one of the days, my room received no housekeeping until I complained at 730 pm. On the bright side, the staff is very nice, the food is good... but service is slow in the restaurant and bar.

Stayed here for just one night. The four stars is mostly for the comfy bed, but also... -Spacious room. Very clean.Bed was very very comfortable. -Staff was nice, very friendly. -Shuttle to the airport. -The Wi-Fi wasnt free though.

This is one of Houston's best Marriott's and the one recommended to travelers by Allstar Transportation service. Very dedicated staff there that are attentive to guest needs and conveniently located near airport with only 20 minute commute to downtown Houston.

DON'T STAY HERE! Don't be fooled by people's reviews of this hotel. It may have been nice 3 years ago but that's not the case any longer. Also, on the Marriott homepage it's listed as 4 stars - but Marriott moderate who post on their site - so i think most of them are lies. Stayed at this hotel with a large group. Some of us found small curly hairs in our beds upon check-in and others had cockroaches. Almost everyone in the group companied of the musty mildewy smell that is covered up with HEAVY floral smell air freshener. The hotel seems understaffed - they checked one of us into a room that had not been cleaned (this was after 10PM) and then could not change the room for another 2 hours since the only person who knew how to do that was on a shuttle run...

lets start very expensive stay not worth it at all you could find hotels in the area for less then what I was paying for 249.00 a night with noise from staff workers closing doors .the ac units in the rooms are out of date controls look fancy but they are not ac units stay on all night and dont stop even if you click the off button, fans will cycle and rattle all night. TVs half of the channels that they say they have on the list that comes in room dont work i called for maintenance to see whats going on guys shows up i tell him whats going on he just tells cant help you out that it's out of his control. staff is nice and friendly that was the only nice thing .internet is a joke 13.00 dollars a night and 15.00 for high speed that's a night not for your complete stay. I was able to get it free for about 2 nights before they told me I had to pay for it. the rooms are not to bad looking little out dated I would give rooms 7 out of ten.breakfast is not included most hotels these days give you free breakfast. they only charge 17.00 every morning lol what a joke even though I didn't pay for this stay. it is not a good hotel to stay unless your staying for 1 night and moving on I would not stay here for more then 1 night. I tried to move to two other hotels within the area all booked out. make Marriott one of your last hotel picks . you will be glad you did

I stayed here one night when my wife had a flight with late arrival. The hotel was hosting a conference that got completely out of control. The noise level in the hotel was unbelievable with people screaming across the atrium at 2 am. We contacted the desk on multiple occasions with no results. I am a Gold rewards member with Marriott and this is most likely the last time I will ever stay at a Marriott by choice.

I am perplexed as to how this is rated 4 stars... Room was decent...clean/no smell. There were different items that were soiled that made me feel a little guarded: the hotel services binder was dirty (I know, who cares...) it looked like there was nail polish or marker on the inside of the door which my husband thought was blood, the "clean" glass in the bathroom had weird spots and fingerprints with makeup. Overall, none of these things were a huge deal...but enough for me to not think it is typical Marriott quality. My main issue is that there was a party in a ballroom directly beneath us which had loud music with bass playing until midnight. I called the general manager around 8:30 to ask how long it would be going on...she politely informed me that the music would be playing until midnight and that she could move me if needed. Since my kid was already asleep, I decided to stay rather than pack up everything and wake him. I do not think the hotel should have booked this room knowing that there would be a party with loud music that would disrupt another guest's stay.
