It is still unclear to me. Is the ball used for the Earth limited to surface water including the atmosphere?

It is a spectacular and beautiful juxtaposition, to be sure. The other thing I dislike is using volumes for comparison works poorly most of the time. Compare a cylinder doubled in height to a sphere doubled in volume (radius increased by cube root of 2). Both increase by the same amount, but one is easy to see, the other difficult.
