Great video.  Now I understand how to trigger a speedlight with a Cyber Commander.  But will the Cyber Commander take a meter reading on the speedlight?  In other words, after I trigger the speedlight, will the Flash Meter screen show a yellow bar indicating the current F-stop of the speedlight?  That would be a big plus for using this method!

I hadn't noticed that, but it's obvious that Netflix is taking my preferences and rating history into account.  I gave "Rapturepalooza" four stars.  Maybe that had something to do with it.

Thanks, Serge!  Another great lesson.  Russell Brown (the Adobe Photoshop Guru) advises to NOT enable lens profile correction in Lightroom if you intend to use Adaptive Wide Angle in Photoshop.

For this photo, you shot with a 17mm lens on a full frame sensor.   My widest prime is 20mm and my camera has a crop (APS-C) sensor.  The combination gives much too narrow FOV for interiors.  Should I buy a 10mm prime for my camera, or buy a camera with a full-frame sensor to go with my existing 20mm lens?  Both options are roughly the same cost.

Thanks, David!  It took me a long time to do.  I learned the vector tools in my Photoshop class, but never found a use for them in  photography.  I wanted to brush up my vector skills, no pun intended.  I will print this design a tee shirt and hope that some people get the joke.

I have been re-processing old photos with Photoshop L*a*b* color using techniques from Dan Margulis' book.  It's addictive.

The dreamy "pastel-ish" treatment works very well for this subject.    But not all daytime photos call for this kind of treatment, do they?   I would love for you to show us alternative treatments that would be appropriate for other subjects shot in broad daylight.

Hi!  I just joined the community!  I live in Tucson Arizona.  Tucson hosts eight JW district assemblies each year.  This will be the third year that I have joined other protesters outside the convention center.  I know that many ex-JW's are against aggressive protests, and I have come to agree that they do more harm than good.  This year I am going with a different message, a very personal one.  I'm hoping this year's poster will resonate with more people than last year's "1914" poster.  Here it is.  What do you think?

I have been taking my VW Passat to this dealer for scheduled maintenance since I bought it there in 2004, and I have always been pleased with the service and professionalism of the staff. However getting through by phone to this place is a joke. You can call and let the phone ring for several minutes before they pick up. Or their automated voice response system may answer and put you into an infinite hold. Or an operator answers and "connects you to the service department." Again you wait ... and wait. It happens without fail every time I call.
