Brooklyn Cured is a sustainably-focused, artisan charcuterie business based in Brooklyn, New York. Chef and founder Scott Bridi got his start in handcrafted meats while running the charcuterie program for Gramercy Tavern – falling in love with transforming the flavor of meats while creating bacon, ham, sausages, terrines, pâtés, and confits for the restaurant. Scott feels like the time is right to introduce a product like his on a bigger scale and show people the creativity and interesting new textures and flavors that he wants to bring to local kitchen tables – a “modern” twist to something he’s grown up with in Brooklyn.

Liliana and Adolfo are quite famous in the neighborhood, serving up typical Venezuelan street food to night owls and club goers. They tell me sometimes their lines are longer then the lines for the clubs! Honestly, it’s such a great NYC moment to go eat here. You experience the whole neighborhood just standing and eating in front of their gated food truck. It’s just one of those filming experiences I’ll not soon forget.

The Brooklyn Grange is a commercial organic farm located on New York City rooftops. The 40,000 square foot farm (just under an acre) is lush with greens, cabbage, tomato plants, corn crops, carrots, swiss chard, various herbs and root vegetables, all of which Ben Flanner sells to local people and businesses. The goal is to improve access to very good food, to connect city people more closely to farms and food production, and to make urban farming a viable enterprise and livelihood.

When Chris Craig was approached by a tenant in one of the Richard Meier buildings along the Hudson River, he jumped at the chance to work in one of New York Cities most important new buildings. The space is furnished with stone, metal and enamel to echo the exterior of the building but softened by the shag rugs throughout.
