A Classic Pose
Occasionally, when you think of a type of photograph, your mind instantly remembers a favorite pose or composition. When I think of horse pictures, this pose is one that comes to mind.

Canal Street Clock
This fine clock can be found on Canal Street in New Orleans, not far from the Mississippi River. It still offers passerbys the time as they stream past on foot, auto or trolley car.

The Lexington Engine Room
Deep down in the USS Lexington aircraft carrier you find the engine room.  With eight boilers and four steam turbines, it’s pretty crowded area. Back then, everything was all analog, including the gauges. This is one of two engine boards where things were monitored closely. With the size of the boilers and turbines, plus the close proximity of everything, I”m guessing it was probably loud and hot. Not a place most sailors think of when they set out to see the world.

Vertically Challenged
A view of the Harris County 1910 Courthouse against just a portion of the more modern skyline of downtown Houston. While it may be vertically challenged by today’s design standards , it makes up for in character and styling.

All Chrome
This antique roadster is complete with chrome headlights, radiator, hood ornament and more. They just don’t make like this anymore. I failed to identify the model of the car when this was taken, so if you know what it is, leave a comment and help us out!
