All musicians should get a copy of the October issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine. Read the article "How To Sell Your Music" where they discuss everything from crowd funding to Bandcamp to online concerts--everything guitarists need to know about the world of digital DIY. Pay special attention to the section titled Tangled Web and the part about Youtube preparing to block the videos of independent artists that haven't joined their streaming music plan!

I used to just LOVE my Omni! I subscribed for several years and I still have them. Great articles; great short stories; great art!
Does anyone know what they might be worth?

I've gotten some input, but nothing like what I usually see in response to some funny video or new gadget. Help a fellow out, won't you? I'm putting together a new band and would like some suggestions as to what I might call the group.

Even if you don't need this now, you will some day!
Better save it where you can find it later.

OMG! One of my heroes was just covered in No Treble's opening piece for their new column Bass Players You Need To Know. Duck was the only contemporary bass player that that I thought I'd actually get to meet.
For the official launch of our Bass Players to Know series, we’re starting with the man, the legend, the ’fro: Donald “Duck” Dunn. Lets cover some of the need-to-know facts, an examination of his style, and a few key listening examples… So who is Duck Dunn, anyway? Dunn was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee...

We need to get this sign put up at intersections where pedestrians are most at risk. This will make drivers MUCH more alert as they approach!

After several years of playing in other bands, none of which have been able to satisfy my yearning to play the Blues, I've been kicking around the idea of putting together my own band. Having gotten commitments from a couple of musicians, I'm now ready to start getting serious about it.
First order of business: what do I call it? Who better to ask than my fellow G+ followers!

I've only been playing out for 5 years, mostly at open jams, and I still get excited at the opportunity to play with other musicians. I can only hope that I never lose that!
There are certain things in life that require a great deal of courage… bungee jumping off a bridge, rafting through class five white water, snowboarding down a double black diamond mountain side, etc. Even the daredevil in me doesn’t have the guts to try those things. These are pretty extreme cases of having to muster...

Now HERE'S an idea that way overdue! It's one of those that makes you slap your forehead asking, "Why didn't I think of that?"

http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2013/11/06/ish-announces-strap-on-disposable-strap-locks/
Ish has shared details on a new disposable strap lock they’ve developed named Strap-On. The simple design is made to work with nearly every strap and strap button combination for both bass and guitar. The Strap-On itself is a hard plastic washer that’s placed over top of your strap when it’s on your bass. They...
