We work long hours and rarely take enough breaks for our own well-being or for our productivity. Let's explore the types of breaks we should be taking. For a “leisure society” who has it all (let's face it, we are spoiled in so many ways), we sure seem to be a bunch of workaholics.

Fiction-based statues

When we think of statues, what probably first comes to mind are world leaders, famous generals or angels.  But statues from the pages of fiction can be found around the world, too.  Sometimes these can be the most exciting ones to discover.

Slide show via +Tom Treanor

#worklifebalance #lunchbreaks
https://www.wrike.com/blog/reasons-to-bring-back-the-lunch-break/ - When there's a lot to be done, the first thing many people do is work through their lunch break. But the longer you’re in the office, the more important it is to get out. Here are 7 reasons why you need that midday downtime.

I don't like coding. I can do it (well, some) but I don't like it.  This looks like a good alternative.

It's a closed source commercial product that isn't free, is lacking in scope as to what it can do, locking you into its limited features, and to augment sites from there you still have to cleanup the code and then abandon it, because it will break your site after that.

If you want a closed source commercial product that you have to pay for, your best bet is still Dreamweaver if you're running Windows.

If you're running Linux there are several good alternatives and most of them are free anyway.

Or you can just use Squarespace or Virb, which is a hosted solution.

I hope that helps! 😀

Introduction
I love nature but I live on the Internet.  Go figure.  At least I can get away and climb a few mountains in my "spare" time.  :-)

I blog about self-help topics, including fitness and nutrition and happiness, and I run Zoomit Canada, Canada's social bookmarking website.

My "day job" is to run The Happy Guy Marketing, which offers ghostwriting of books and screenplays and such, as well as website promotion, such as content marketing and social media marketing
