Home made ice cream is the best. Stop by if you have an opportunity for delightful delicate!!! Great bargain for a scoop full of bold flavored. White Chocolate and Raspberry are a favorite.

Great value and yummy ice cream. Neighborhood is a little shady and they only accept cash, but overall a nice stop if you're in the area and want something unique.

Good ice-cream and a fair price. Something of note, cash only.

Homemade ice cream with unique flavors (from brown bread to sorbets to a bunch of liqueur-ish flavors). If you're lucky there won't be a line. If you go very very late right when they're about to close (and there's not much of a selection), you may get a freebie or two. ;) Don't forget - a small order comes with two, not one, flavors! Not much has changed year over year here.. and that's a good thing! Don't have any recommendations for flavors because you can just sample them anyway. :D

This place is ice cream heaven. Delicious, homemade and unique flavors in generous portions at a tiny and unassuming little storefront just south of LA City College. My personal favorite is brown bread, which I believe is made with Grape Nuts cereal. (Mmmm, fiber.) You used to be able to get a mug from the coffee shop next door, get a scoop of ice cream, and then get espresso poured over it, but I don't believe that they do this anymore. You can suggest flavors on a board on the wall. Consider trying your hand at being an ice cream chef.

Such a good value for great tasting ice cream and unique flavors! Must come! I kept thinking they were undercharging me, how could 2 huge scoops of ice cream be just $3?? They consider "One Scoop" to be 2 huge scoops. and a "Kids Scoop" to be 1 scoop. WOW! The staff is super nice and helpful with trying flavors. After trying many interesting flavors which rotate out each day, I settled on this winning combo: **Peanut butter curry ice cream + vanilla Jim beam cheesecake was an amazing combo** However if you just go in and try a bunch of flavors and don't get anything, there is a $1 tasting fee for all you freeloaders! C'mon it's only $3- I haven't seen anything like this steal in a long while! The neighborhood this is in is very cool. The businesses on this intersection of Heliotrope and Melrose have good vibes and are trendy. Lots of restoration - renovated apartments, gastropubs, ice cream, clothing stores. It's off the beaten path of the more popular part of Melrose, but definitely worth the visit!
