With the H-1B preparation season upon us, it's important for F-1 students to think about the cap-gap.  If the student’s H-1B petition is timely filed, then selected and approved, the student’s visa status continue through September 30. Assuming that at the time of filing, the F-1 student was in valid OPT, that work authorization will continue to 9/30/15. For questions, please contact our office.

Process for receiving the green card in the USA after having successfully going through consular processing:

1. Upon entering USA, individual gives immigrant visa packet to CBP.
2. CBP forward packet to TSC.
3. TSC enters data into USCIS system. If domestic processing fee was paid, then TSC orders card.

Mr. Huang is well experienced in immigration law and he kept us updated throughout the entire process and provided us with great service. He was very helpful, providing options for us in the beginning of the initial process. He made sure our application was prepared and filed as soon as possible and he was very responsive to our many questions and emails throughout the process. Because of his expertise everything went very smoothly and our application was approved in just 1 month from the filing date. We are extremely happy that we went with Mr. Huang as he was helpful throughout the whole process and provided us with guidelines and answered all our questions thoroughly and clearly. Mr. Huang works directly with his clients; therefore he takes care of all the paperwork and documents to ensure everything is correct and that there is no missing documents or forms. He was very easy to work with and ensured us that he would do what it takes to make sure our application went smoothly and gets approved. My fiancé and I are happy that we chose Ted Huang to work on our K-1 visa application and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs advice or help with the K-1 visa process.

I easily made an appointment for a workshop with Mr. Huang through Eventbrite. I showed up to the location but apparently the date had been cancelled and due to Eventbrites error I did not receive a cancellation notice. I called Mr. Huangs office and he was able to call me back. He apologized for the error and still took the time to answer some of my questions. Even after my call dropped, he was gracious enough to call me back and continue with my questions as simple as they were. He was very reassuring and made sure to ask many questions to determine whether I had a good case or not. I was very grateful he took the time to answer all of my questions even though I did not pay for any service or consultation. I would recommend him to others.

My wife and I highly recommend Attorney Ted Huang to help you through the K1/K2 fiancée visa process. My wife is Chinese and the fiancée visa process for Chinese fiancées is highly scrutinized. The application process with the US Government is complicated and there are many pitfalls. Small mistakes can result in significant delays in the approval process. We were completely unfamiliar with the fiancée visa process and wanted to avoid mistakes. We searched for help and found Ted on the internet. We had many choices and chose Ted because of his expertise in immigration law. We were very worried about working with an attorney long distance, especially concerning immigration matters. We found working with Ted was very easy. Ted’s fiancée visa guide and automated forms helped us assemble all the required documents quickly. Throughout the process, we had many questions and Ted was always very responsive and returned our phone calls / emails very quickly. Ted finished our fiancée visa package quickly and submitted it to the USCIS in July 2012. Cases submitted to the USCIS from June 2012 through November 2012 were seriously delayed with the average approval time being 7-9 months. Throughout the difficult waiting period, Ted stayed with us all the way which was very reassuring. In summary, we are extremely satisfied with Ted’s guidance and legal services. With Teds help, my wife’s fiancée visa was approved March 1, 2013 without any additional information requested by the USCIS. We have retained Ted again to help us through the Adjustment of Status and Green Card application process.

Mr Huang was extremely responsive and helpful with my request. He replied to all my questions promptly and provided the information I needed. Due to company policies I wasn't able to carry out the process with him but I think he would have been a great representative.
