★★★ SUPERHELIX VS COMBAT RECORDINGS ★★★
11 artists, two rooms and one takeover for £6, free before 10PM, Fluid Bar, Farringdon London

Superhelix goes head to head with Combat Recordings - returning for a second annual instalment at Fluid Bar on the 6th of October 2012 where Singapore and London’s finest producers and DJs come together once again to bring you two rooms of absolute audio-visual porn tuned to the key of bass.

The ground floor brings you to Room 1 - a 120-140BPM resting heartbeat from tech house to grime… as Singapore-born heavy rollers Clart, Aresha (Redbull Music Academy) and Qilin label boss – Vortex represent the sunny island.

Joining at the helm will be Beast of the East London’s resident breaks badboy, Dave Harling, followed by K-mi, la femme fatale française closing the night.

Meanwhile in the basement dundgeon we have the sonic and visual assault of Combat Recordings.

A London-based label specialising in fierce bass music drawn from the unstable, creative space between electro, dubstep, IDM and techno, Combat has long championed the intelligent darkside sounds of Scorn, Milanese, King Cannibal, Anodyne, Dead Fader, Plaid just to name a few. Over the past few years the label has gone further in pushing the audio-visual element in performance, Combat A.V., which will be on full display this night.

We have the mighty Cursor Miner, whose inimitable tech-edged live sets have battered soundsystems across Europe. ScanOne, fresh from releasing his Archives DVD album, will let rip with his hardcore-rave tinged electronics. We feature a special audio-visual set from Combat new artists Fausten, a scorching live improvised onslaught of smothering atmospheres, crushing beats and live visuals performed over
hardware and computers. London-based Bulgarian artist Errorbeauty will ramp up the hard electro bass. As if that wasn't enough, we also have Monster X, french sonic terrorist back from smashing the Bangface Weekender, and Combat boss Stormfield. Prepare yourself.
