I love the side by side comparison of constitutions. Dates are informative and sometimes surprising.

I came across this while helping a colleague develop a "Constitution" project. It is a fully searchable repository of all the constitutions in the world. Among other things, it allows you to compare them by topic or phrase, and even export excerpts to GaFE to help you draft your own constitution.

Theme Two: Visual  -

As if - poem inspired by +Michelle Pacansky-Brock  #digiwrimo
Thank you for your beautifully worded post, Michelle Pacansky-Brock. I first shared these images in a blog post back in 2009. They are part of a historical narrative contained within an autograph book which belonged to my maternal grandmother. (I attempt to write down the story) ...

Storyjumper is building tension. Up to chapter 13 now of this global collaborative digital story. http://rhondajessen.com/?p=7183
Folks from all over the world are writing pieces of a larger story, using blogs to jump the story from one section to the next. This map shows the geographic sequencing of the story as it unfolded, writing by writing.

Oh well. It would be very challenging to write the last chapters because you have to tie all the loose ends and make sure you've kept up with all the details.

As Digital Writing Month http://www.digitalwritingmonth.com/ shifts into its second week, the theme of exploration is centered around visual literacies.

Guest writers at #DigiWriMo are exploring the intersections of words and images, and stories, in a variety of ways, asking participants to play around with the notions of the visual medium.

Topics, and daily inspirational activities, include how images spark writing (and vice versa); the ways in which family photos can connect us to family history; the emergence of infographics as way to shape data; and the telling of stories through the uses of graphic novel and comics.

We're doing inquiry around how we "see" the world, and how what we see connects with how we "write" the world.

Yesterday we chose to go out and visit libraries as part of a curriculum day. It's wonderful to have the opportunity to step out of our own environment and take a good look at how other libraries, ...

Year 12 muck up day was creative this year. I like their mashup of libraries and gym. Why not?
It was amusing watching students come into the library this morning, the day of year 12 Muck Up, the day the library became a little like a gym and the gym looked a bit like the library. This was t...
