This store has been here FOREVER! If you are looking the comic book store from "Big Bang Theory" this is not it. What it is is a incredible trove of comic history, Ray (owner) has great knowledge and yes can be rough around the edges but I will not shop any other comic store in the city. Get past some of the rough stuff and take a look around and you will see a great place to find and talk comic book lore and history.

Miserable prick of a owner, dingy shop with same old merchandise. Doesn't deserve your business. Go to dcbservice to maximize your buying dollar & be treated with respect.

If you want comics, maybe even a used book or two, go here. If you don't need walls of blister packs of toys/action figures, the latest t-shirt (although they might have a few), or bright fluorescent lights, go here. If you want an exceptionally knowledgeable person selling said comics, go here. Ray's the best. He knows the industry, he knows the artists, he knows his literature. If you like your coffee black and not pumped full of artificial flavors, go here (they don't sell coffee, that's a metaphor).

Wow. Huge comics nerd here. I walked in today with my sister, as the owner was sitting on the front step with the door open, reading a book in the sun, which struck me as an inviting stance. He asks, "What can I do for you?" and then, when I say I'm a huge fan of comics and was surprised I didn't know his shop was in my neighbourhood, he says, "Actually, I have to close up now." When we ask what times he might be open usually, he snubs us with "I don't really have normal business hours. Take care," and rushes us out the door. Since this is the closest comic book shop to me, and some reviewers call the owner a "rough edged diamond" and give it 5 stars, I'll give it another chance. But man, that was one of the worst attitudes I've seen in my life from any kind of business owner.

Amazing. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, I often spend much more time then I usually would talking with the Purveyor and his staff about everything pop culture. I have a good time every time I go and always get that good feeling in my tummy for supporting a local business. After being called a "poser" at Mile Hi Comics for trying to buy the Losers when the movie was coming out, I started going here and haven't looked back.

I am a culture loving nerd. When taking a specific trip through traffic on Colfax to check out this store, I was disappointed to find the door was locked at 4:30 on a Saturday. There were customers inside whom were speaking cordially with -I'm guessing- the owner. He saw me at the front door and ignored me. It was embarrassing to be standing out in the cold. So shocked by the owner's behavior, I looked up some reviews. It is not a bunch of random occurrences, people. It is bad company here. After such an experience, I will most likely never go inside.

stopped in today to look around and ask some questions about some comics I inherited awhile back. The first words out of the owners mouth were close the door (I left it cracked because that's how it was when I walked in there)... Not a single word from the guy after that.. He was busy BS with a couple guys.. What about a "let me know if you have any questions" or some other type of greeting.. Based on some other reviews im not alone here.. If you don't want business jackass, don't open one...

Decided to stop in the store today try to avoid going to the internet for my comic needs. With comic bookstores be coming some what of you rarity I find it incredibly unusual that an owner of such an establishment would be as rude as this one. When I said hi he responded what you want wanna ask for help finding something he responded have fun. On top of that all he seems to have work trades of new releases of batman. Which I can get from barnes and noble. Much as I'd like to support the comic book industry and local businesses, he clearly doesnt want my business. If your looking for a local comic book store I would not recommend waisting your time here
