Great happy hour. Oysters 6/$6. Manhattans and other classic cocktails $6. Great vibe. Not too crowded. Relax.

Fancy, fun, elegant spot designed to feel like you are underwater, located near Union Square. Little know tip: the happy hour at their Jelly bar starts at 3pm. The food presentation is a WOW, everything we at was truly amazing. This is a very special place for a special date night or occasion. Uniquely San Franciscian!

I went to Farallon for a later dinner with my husband and a friend. The decor of the restaurant is great. It feels like you're attending a cod fish ball or something. We were sat at one of the oyster booths and it was kind of awkward for the 3 of us. We were quite far away from each other. I could tell this was an issue with other tables, because the guests at the other table were speaking very loudly in order to be heard. Unfortunately that meant we would have had to be speaking even louder for a conversation at our own table. I could tell that our waitstaff wasn't thrilled that we didn't order a full 3 course meal, and any interaction after that was uncomfortable. Despite all of this, the food was amazing. If I were to return, I would try an earlier dinner, in hopes for a quieter, more comfortable setting.

Absolutely amazing food! A bit pricey and upper class but certainly a perfect place for a special occasion. Every dish was delicious and the presentations superb. The staff was so helpful and polite. If you want a full dinner, don't go before 530pm.

My wife and I dined here for our anniversary and it was a great experience. The food was fantastic, there is a wide selection of house cocktails to choose from and of course, the seafood is over the top. I was really impressed by the decor, & I enjoyed snuggling into a padded clamshell booth. The curved walls are pearlescent and the amazing jellyfish lamps really get your attention. Definitely worth a go.

Literally everything we had was delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Ono and I had the Branzino, both were amazing. We started with the ahi sashimi, had a couple oysters during and finished with the devil's food cake. It's obviously a little on the pricier side but well worth it. And to top it all off we had Moe, one of the most knowledgeable servers we've ever had.

The food is too overpriced here. Yes it is some what delicious like: the lobster bisque, desserts and the drinks which were outstanding! That expensive seafood platter was not so much, the lobster was slightly rubbery. Next time I'll just try the main course dishes instead of those cold platters. Service was good but it wouldn't hurt to have a sense of humor? Though I guess waiters can't because the snobby people lose their personality when the money rolls in. I'll try it again but not anytime soon.

For such a nice and upscale place, they have an unexpectedly stellar happy hour, which I believe runs daily from opening till about 6:30, and it's in their... ~*Jellyfish Lounge*~, where's actually jellyfish decor in there, fulfilling this oceanophile's heart. I enjoy their $1 oysters, truffle fries, sliders, charcuterie plate, and drinks.
