I feel like the luckiest person to have had a meal in the Vino Volo before taking my flight two days ago. I was in a rush after getting my plane cancelled and having to buy a new plane ticket. I stopped at Vino Volo and had a nice salmon roll. Left in a bit of a rush and guess what... forgot my phone! George who served me was so kind to immediately find my details, send a note, and offered to ship the phone to me. This does not happen every day and while the food and the service had been excellent, I wanted to say how great it is to meet people that are so kind and go out of their way to help you.

I stop at Vino Volo whenever I'm traveling out of PHL (we also have one at my home base of SFO). They offer wines by the glass or flight, which is a great way to try new and unexpected labels. The selection is always changing, and there is something for every price range. These aren't your typical liquor store wines, they are curated specifically for Vino Volo, and every glass comes with a paper coaster telling you more about your selection (region, tasting notes, etc). I once had an excellent $17 glass of Pinot Noir that I literally dreamt about for weeks afterward. The food (mostly tapas-sized small plates) is also phenomenal for an airport. They're accustomed to solo travelers so you can feel free to relax, work on your laptop, or just chat with the servers at the bar.
