Attended a "let's go" cooking lesson. Fantastic. Expertly taught by a friendly chef, small group in the class for almost 1 to 1 tuition. Learned 4 great dishes, 3 demonstrated and demystified, and one hands on dish with top class ingredients. Encouraged to tour the grounds after the class, but sadly not so easy in winter due to it getting dark so early. Very receptive to questions about any cooking queries, if she didn't know (which she in all cases did), she'd ask the 40+ colleagues in the kitchen. If they didn't know, she'd put it to Mr Blanc himself. A great half day out.

I went there for dinner on a Sunday and enjoyed the whole experience. Save some time to walk around the gardens where most of the vegetables are grown - It is quite pretty. I wasn’t too clear about the dress code - but actually you just need to be a little smart and that will do the trick (no suits needed!). The food was great and comforty. I was very impressed with my starter which was intriguing as it had a mix of very different flavours, hot and cold and different textures (jelly and sorbet in a savoury dish - very refreshing). However, I wasn’t as impressed with the main course and dessert. Even though they were delicious dishes, they were too traditional in a French conservative style for my personal taste, but that is the restaurant’s concept.

Absolutely beautiful food, in taste, imagination, & presentation, paired with wines that complemented brilliantly. Relaxing space, lovely to explore the gardens too. What more can I say! I had never been to a 2* Michelin restaurant before. A wonderful day.

Today I was taken to lunch here by my very dearest friends for my birthday, it really was absolutely faultless. The food was excellent and perfect in every way, the flavours were exquisite. The staff and service were impeccable and the gardens and surroundings just beautiful. An experience to remember for a lifetime, thank you

Difficult to rate someone like this. Obviously you're going to eat quality food and the service is going to be exceptional. So let's agree that that is the case. The loss of stars is only because you expect something "wow", it didn't deliver on that. I've had better experiences and they've been because I've smiled more.

First class in all amenities. Nothing more needs to be said other than a visit to view the garden & herb garden in May is highly recommended.
