I love this place. It's my go-to for a first date or just with a girlfriend when I want a low key evening. I love their locally sourced foods. Very happy about that as I'm an ethical omnivore. I don't eat much meat or chicken, but when I do, I want to know where it's from. I don't understand the bad reviews because I've never had a bad experience here and love the menu options. I think the choices are very eclectic and remind me of my home in Northern California. One of my favorite places in Atlanta.

I have been to this 5 Seasons several times, and every time I go two things happen. First, I go because its a group gathering and the upstairs is great for group gatherings. Two, I am not excited about the food or beer. I love that there is parking in this otherwise busy section of town. That is a plus. The upstairs is great for hosting a group of people. The outside patio is wonderful for the summertime and city views. The food is just okay. Your typical bar food and not really exciting. This last time I had the Organic Reuben which came on a rye flatbread and the bread did not work for me. I took the bread off and a lot of the meat was just stuck to the bread. Eh. The beer, they have their own brews and I have ordered the flight which is good but they don't have enough great beers to be excited about the flight. And in todays booming craft beer market not having a great selection of beers is just ridiculous. They do have a full bar so drinks on the patio is an option. And service is spotty at times. They are competing with some good places in the same area. They probably need a menu makeover.

My brother reserved a space for 30 family members for my niece's graduation on May 17,2015 at this restaurant. The service was awful, it took over 40 minutes for everyone to be served. Even after repeated requests, one family member never got served and she traveled from North Carolina. She was given a take home plate to take home with her. The waiter was very inexperienced and messed up some orders. The manager should have assigned more waiters to cover the 30 guests. After we got our plates, the waiter never returned to see if anything else was needed. He never returned with the checks so we could pay, I actually had to go to the hostess to ask them to send the waiter so I could pay for my family. He rung everything up on separate receipts, never asked if some should be combined. My sister & cousin sat outside the group because the area was full & no one served them for over an hour, so they complained to the manager and he gave them a 15% discount. It was a Sunday evening and the rest of the restaurant was half empty, most of the patrons was at the bar, which is a true sign of a good restaurant. Where I come from (NY) a good restaurant on the weekend has a line of people waiting to get in. We were served water at room temperature, no ice and I ordered a lemonade drink and it turned out to be just lemon juice, no sugar added at room temperature also with no ice, in a small glass. Everyone was still hungry after leaving this restaurant. My family member told me her drink was watered down, she paid $30 for ravioli (3 on the plate ) and a watered down drink. I assume the place is still open because of the beer served, not the food. The food was mediocre. They were ill equipped to serve a group of people (someone else made the same comment about this restaurant). I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, poor management and customer service, food is mediocre and not all that great. Not a place to take your family, more for the young night life scene. When you get drunk you will think the finger food is awesome, and give great reviews.

Check out the newly renovated cellar bar at 5 Westside. It is fantastic! All the better with one of the why can't we sell growlers IPAs.

Came here today for a friends coworkers birthday. I looked it up and was looking forward to coming, what with this place being rated pretty well, but I was disappointed with the service among other things. The waiter consistently took too long to come to our table, from getting our drink and food orders, to bringing our drinks, to bringing any more smaller things we requested, including a birthday cake we requested for our friend. Also, one of our friends was vegan , so he asked what he could get, and the waiter went to ask the chef. Following his suggestion, he ordered that and ended up with a plate of broccoli, asparagus, and potatoes that ended up costing more than any of our entrees despite having much less food. Overall though, if we had a server that wasn't completely useless this might not be a bad place, since the beer isn't bad, and neither is the food, although I feel I was misled regarding the content of my dish. I had ordered a dish that sounded like it'd be bratwurst with a few small sides of potato salad and salad, but it turned out to be vegetables with a side of meat. I probably won't be back.

Awkward at best. The menu seems find a way to make everything unappealing. Even basic dishes seem to be ruined with someone's attempt to be different. Hard to actually find something to eat here. I had the pulled chicken sandwich - not bad but not good either. Beer...not so good. Service - the waiter tried his best to make it a pleasant experience but with limited food and drink options, the place didn't give him much help. My suggestion - fire the chef, revamp the menu, rethink the beer...oh, it's Atlanta folks - get some fans or air curtains on the deck to deal with the bugs.

Brian the bar tender is rude and passive aggressive. Like this review. He took our order and never served me and ignored me after I tried repeatedly to gain his attention. He made it blatantly obvious he did not want to serve myself and my fiance. Fortunately his co-workers came to his rescue and finally took our order. Beware of him and avoid him while at the bar. Ask the tender their name before asking to order!!! It's a shame he brings down such a great place to eat and taste some great local Georgia fare.
