If a monkey takes a photo with your camera... do you still have the rights to it? +Wikimedia Foundation seems to think that no, you don't.

We just updated our Transparency Report, showing how many requests Google gets for information about its users. But we're not allowed to give the full story because the U.S. government says that requests under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) must be kept secret. We can tell you this: Requests have more than doubled around the world since 2009, and more than tripled in the U.S.: http://g.co/u5sp

Share this if you believe you have a right to know what our governments are up to.

Unusual and interesting new Android app from Microsoft. It shows maps about world climate. Right now it's hard to use, buggy, and lacking in features but it's something to keep an eye on. Even stranger, Microsoft made this available on Android before other platforms like Windows Phone!

Recently, I was browsing through my Google+ photos on my Android phone and I noticed that many of them appear to have been corrupted. They are covered in varying patterns of colored bars. I've noticed that the exact same pictures are also corrupt on the web interface of Google+, and when downloading photos on desktop and mobile. Disturbingly, the corruption appears to be retroactive - photos going back to 2012 are now corrupt. All photos appeared to upload correctly originally, but then the corruption happened sometime in early 2014.

My phone is a Verizon Galaxy SIII, stock Android 4.3, using auto backup with Google+. I've attached a screenshot of the Google+ web interface showing some of the corrupted photos.

Is there any way to recover affected photos and to prevent this issue from recurring?

Just got some new Fischer Progressor 1000 C-Line Skis (2012). Mounting bindings on the Flowflex plates was extremely easy, as everything is pre-drilled. All you do is line up the right set of holes and screw the bindings in, then adjust the DIN.

Just updated my personal website. It should display correctly and faster on all browsers finally. It's still really awkward to describe myself and that text needs some work
