Isaiah Thomas reminds me most of him. Short, handles, slasher, and can hit outside.

Mm...I could see that...I could also see DJ Augustin. Not for shooting, but ballhandling, yes. Short and speedy.

LD Random Stuff Discussion (That Really Isn't Related to LD)  -

So what is your view on explanations of definitions? Example: Nation—"a large aggregate of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language."
This definition is essential to this debate because we must remember that the resolution does not say governments have a moral obligation to governments. If a government invaded a tyrannical government saving the people of the government it would still be fulfilling its moral obligation to the nation.

+Abigail Malone If you don't succeed, you haven't assisted. However, the resolution in no way concerns itself with whether governments are generally effective in assistance. Rather, it asks whether they have a moral obligation to assist. So, governments can have a moral obligation but carry it out poorly.

Does that help?

Speech Discussions  -

So my mom wants me to start writing a speech for.... next year.... so.... Have any of you heard of the movie: Act like a woman, think like a man.? Well for an original (hoping they have it next year) Im thinking about doing: Act like a man, Think like a woman. Showing the complete stupidity of men when it comes to the other gender. Any ideas?

I think I like B best:
B. Resolved: Personal freedom ought to be more highly valued than the good of society.
For LD.
Reasons: In a lot of ways you can draw this back to the old resolution with Utilitarianism on the AFF and on NEG you could value moral law that way the good of society is not higher than morality refuting the utilitarinistic arguments....

Maybe A. Resolved: National security ought to be valued above freedom of the press.
But I just think that it could easily turn into a definitional debate on what "freedom" is.

B is my choice... As for TP... I hate them all. well.... B is pretty good. B. Resolved: That federal election law should be significantly reformed in the United States.

Not exactly sure what the mean by election law but fixing the Electoral system sounds like a good case.

Exclusive: Pitch Perfect 2 in the Works; Rebel Wilson to Return

19 December 2012 12:37 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

This past October saw the release of Universal Picture's Pitch Perfect, a musical comedy centering around collegiate Acapella groups. While the film took in a modest $63.9 million at the box office, it wasn't one of the biggest monetary hits of the year. But it proved to be one of the more original movies released in 2012, and has quickly gained a huge fan following, making it one of the few true cult films in recent memory. That cult is sure to grow even bigger as the film hits Blu-ray and DVD this week.

It makes sense that Universal would want a sequel, and possibly a franchise. We might have to wait and see how well the home video release does before we hear any official word on Pitch Perfect 2, but we recently talked with Skylar Astin about the possibilities for a sequel, and he revealed that he and star Rebel Wilson »

OH MY! Ok so according to my definition of Nation: "a large aggregate of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language." Wouldn't say the US be assisting other nations if it made laws protecting the Jews that live in america? Or more practically... The Native Americans?

+Jonathan Woodall You should definitely run that. You'll have a substantial amount of judge bias, though.
