Do total event/competitor percentages apply to at-large for IE?

Also there is a point based system in place for IE at-large. You receive a certain number of points for each ballot placing in outruns. I believe its 3 points for every 1st, 2 for every 2nd, 1 for ever 3rd and zero for every 4th and below. I haven't looked at the rules since last year though, so this might be outdated or incorrect.

Community Discussion  -

Does anyone want to run this "Community"? I created it a while ago and Taylor was helping me approve people wanting to join a while ago but he gradated and I no longer use Google+ ever so if anyone in the league wants to be in charge of this they can have it. Only real responsibility is accepting people who ask to join.

Fallout Boy's newest single: Centuries
My biased opinion:
I personally still like the sound of anything Folie a Deux and prior to it much better than their last album as well as this single. While I understand bands change I feel like Fallout boy took it a little too far in an effort to become "The Band" once again. I personally think Greenday made a much better transition into this newer Pop genre dominance and while I personally still like American Idiot and all the way back to Kerplunk (I never listened to 39/Smooth). I think there is a fine line between tailoring your music to a new crowd and changing your genre as a whole. The grounds that FOB built itself upon weren't in this song in my opinion whether its a good song or not. I am NOT saying its a bad song just that I probably wont buy it because I am content with the sounds that I love from Infinity on High.
I also felt like the last album and also this one just made it seem like they were no longer trying to make a statement and just were out their to make money. (I know they were always just out their to make money but I felt like this made it VERY clear)
I also feel a little bit annoyed when people point to this and their last album as the reason that they are FOB fans. There is just a lot more credibility when you fall in love with the origins and not the new stuff. People can learn to like the new stuff but everything starts from the bottom up. Just my opinion on what some people would call "Bandwagon" fans.

Extra note and unbiased opinion on the song itself unrelated to fallout boy:
I felt like the chorus was really cheap. Catchy but cheap. Just my opinion take it or leave it.

Isaiah Thomas reminds me most of him. Short, handles, slasher, and can hit outside.

Mm...I could see that...I could also see DJ Augustin. Not for shooting, but ballhandling, yes. Short and speedy.

Debate LD Discussions  -

I think I like B best:
B. Resolved: Personal freedom ought to be more highly valued than the good of society.
For LD.
Reasons: In a lot of ways you can draw this back to the old resolution with Utilitarianism on the AFF and on NEG you could value moral law that way the good of society is not higher than morality refuting the utilitarinistic arguments....

Maybe A. Resolved: National security ought to be valued above freedom of the press.
But I just think that it could easily turn into a definitional debate on what "freedom" is.

B is my choice... As for TP... I hate them all. well.... B is pretty good. B. Resolved: That federal election law should be significantly reformed in the United States.

Not exactly sure what the mean by election law but fixing the Electoral system sounds like a good case.

Exclusive: Pitch Perfect 2 in the Works; Rebel Wilson to Return

19 December 2012 12:37 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

This past October saw the release of Universal Picture's Pitch Perfect, a musical comedy centering around collegiate Acapella groups. While the film took in a modest $63.9 million at the box office, it wasn't one of the biggest monetary hits of the year. But it proved to be one of the more original movies released in 2012, and has quickly gained a huge fan following, making it one of the few true cult films in recent memory. That cult is sure to grow even bigger as the film hits Blu-ray and DVD this week.

It makes sense that Universal would want a sequel, and possibly a franchise. We might have to wait and see how well the home video release does before we hear any official word on Pitch Perfect 2, but we recently talked with Skylar Astin about the possibilities for a sequel, and he revealed that he and star Rebel Wilson »
