I thought the same as you. Ive been there and done it all, I also first heard them on a vhs video of Under A Blood Red Sky. I also laid low when they went weird with Zooropa and Pop, just wasnt my thing. All the other albums after that in my opinion have been top quality, even no line on the horizon. Give the new songs more of a chance, Miracle of Joey Ramone has really grown on me, I personally think its another great u2 tune that will stand the test of time. Every breaking wave will also grow on you, I think that might be there next single, wait for the video to come out, that might help.
