[PLUG] I blogged: Inside the IceTV Skippa
Background. I've been getting the creeping feeling that the Australian TiVo service is not long for this world. Not that I've heard anything concrete, just the age of the service and the fact it's no-longer being sold/marketed any more means there's no financial reason to keep it going any more.

I sniffed the serial port. The chance of getting an in to the OS is fading.

Awse carvings
Favored for its translucency and durability, marble has been the material of choice for sculptors beginning with the early Greek masters. And their chisels have been used, most typically, to carve an idealized human body but also to create massive pillars and architectural forms like the Supreme

I'd love to have an ushanka for these chilly Canberra Winter days, but I think the price is too high to speculate it on being actual genuine raccoon dog fur - I think it's really genuine artificial raccoon dog fur (Or possibly even fake raccoon dog fur).

Hey everyone. Decided to try a little experiment! I've never done any kind of crowdfunding, but I figured hey let's try it and see what happens.

A lot of people have been asking about HiDPI and Touch on elementary OS and while support is getting better, the biggest barrier to it being super awesome is that we just don't have any HiDPI or Touch hardware to test it on!

So, I figured I'd ask you all for some help. I'd love to pick up a notebook that I could use to hunt down all the little issues and make sure that HiDPI rocks on elementary OS. I'd also like to start making sure that we're taking full advantage of the new GtkGesture so we can have native touch gestures for things like navigation, rotation, zooming, etc.

After some research, I think I really like the Lenovo Yoga 900 as a test machine. It's something that I would consider using as a daily driver, which I think is super important to really live in that environment and make sure it's comfortable. The hinge means that I can also use it as a tablet. No promises, but being able to test elementary OS in a tablet environment would give me a better idea of what needs fixing before we can consider keyboard-less form factors like Mobile and Tablet.

Anyways, I know it's a bit pricey and it's a lot to ask, but I figure it doesn't hurt to try. Thank you everyone in advance for your awesome support. Here's to making HiDPI and Touch rock on elementary OS :)
Hey everyone I'm Daniel Foré, founder of elementary! Something that more and more elementary OS users and asking about is HiDPI and Touch Screen support. I'd love to make sure elementary OS rocks on this kind of hardware, but at the moment the budget is a little tight for me to be able to pick up...

Probably the best value and quality of all the Weston Thai restaurants (Currently 2 others), A perfectly good Thai take-away with unpretentious decor and prices.

Had the tapas share plate. This was seafood based and was very fresh/edible. I can recommend this for an easy, unassuming lunch, yet still high quality.
