I love Indian food, and have been going to Origin India food... but I wanted to try something else... BIG mistake. This place was brightly lit, with few customers inside. It took 3 minutes of waiting for a little girl come out and tell us we could sit anywhere. We chose a clean table in the corner. There were a couple others, but they still had used plates on them, dirty dishes. We were handed a couple menus, and the little girl walked away. 10 minutes later she came back to get our order, at which point I asked for a cup of hot water for my wife (she brings her own tea) and a glass of water with lemon for me. We then started asking about the different food choices. We were told that even though the menu said goat and lamb would be served, there was no goat and lamb. No problem, we can do vegetarian and chicken. I asked about an appetizer, which mentioned it had green peas, onions, and something else. The little girl said it had cheese and jalapenos, not what was described on the menu. We did finally decide on what to get, and the little girl walked away. 7 minutes later, she brought our waters. Mine was supposed to have lemon in it... it was room temperature and had no ice or lemon. My wife's was luke warm and had a lime in it. 30 minutes later we finally got our appetizer. Supposedly it was to be garbanzo beans, onions, and spices. The little girl also brought out our plates which had cheap paper napkins you can get at a dollar store, with a fork and spoon on it. When my wife asked about a diet soda instead of the luke warm water, the little girl walked back and put a can of soda in front of my wife, unopened, no glass, no ice, just a warm soda... and the appetizer was covered with cilantro. hunh?In the pictures of this place, you see clean white white walls, they were brown and there was some silver cloth thing covering the walls, but you could see the holes which they hadn't bothered to repair. You see glass tables and glass covering white table-cloths, they were just table cloths made from leopard print. You see TVs, they weren't there, just the brackets to hold them. The mirrors had smudges on them, which shows they weren't cleaned since the last banquet they had. Sound carries, the few patrons were whispering, and we could hear their whispers. We paid $16 for a Groupon, to get a $35 value... the little girl tried to tell us the value was only $30. When the little girl put the warm diet soda can in front of my wife, we left. We don't need to sample the food to know how bad this place was. Total time spent in this place... about 1 hour, dreading all the time. What must have been a nice place once, is not a dirty, grungy, and gaudy place. Severely dissapointing, AVOID this establishment.

Expensive and worst service ever. The food is good and the atmosphere a little better too, but the worst place in terms of service. Highly not recommended unless you call before going there and all the other halal places in the city are closed.

If you enjoy raw chicken and small bone slivers after waiting for almost 2 hours for your only half of your order, this is the place for you! The bathroom is horrifying, and infects the entire restaurant with the smell of raw sewage, and it is directly next to the kitchen. We waited for around half an hour to have our orders taken and almost an hour and a half after that for any of our food to arrive, and what got there was not fit for human consumption. 4 different parties left after waiting for so long without so much as being seated. I guess this is understandable when the only two people running the dining room appear to be 10 and 12 years old. I'm not even sure if that is legal for somebody that young to work even if it is there family's restaurant. The only adult we saw was after we walked into the kitchen to find one and tell them how horrible the experience was. We walked out on our meals because they were not safe to eat and we recommended that everybody else in the place do the same. Unless you are a health inspector or somebody who can enforce child labor laws, stay away!!!

Wow what a disaster it was. The table was not set when we arrived. We ordered our food. WE got appetizer but no place settings. we asked and the waiteress brought the place settings. The pakora was good but sauces were not tasty. We had two main dishes and garlioc nan. The main dishes of Cholle and Paneer were awaful and there was no taste and no spice aroma. And too much salt. we had to ask for dinner plates for main course. I will tell you the pre pakaged food in frozen section of super market tastes better. Nan was so so. Will not recommend to any one and I will never go again.

We went there in March and had the buffet that is available for Friday and Sunday lunch and it was INCREDIBLE. It appears to be family run and they had a party there Saturday night, so we arrived to a hastily set-up, sparse place, but the buffet was stacked with incredible food. Chicken, goat, and vegetarian fare with incredible naan to boot. Delicious.

I'm sitting in the restaurant right now. It is dead right now but took about 5 minutes for a very young girl to tell us to sit anywhere. Nobody ever came to take our order, so I had to tell somebody we're ready. A customer at another table just came and told us that they ordered the same thing we did, but the restaurant is out of it. The girl who took our order never said that. Still waiting for our food, we are about to walk out...some employee just told us that they were out of chicken, which we ordered 30 minutes ago lol. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE!!!

The wait was not what others had entailed, it was longer than normal but nothing out of the ordinary. Our vegetable samosa was definitely store bought. common favorites were terrible. the chicken korma was near inedible... wait I mean inedible. palak pandering lukewarm. Why two stars. the fresh cooked meals were decent the tandoori was fresh but impotent on spice. The goat kahari was also just above mediocre and priced right. The ambiance would be better if it didn't feel like an empty banquet room. I feel that being so close price value and better food are at Indian palace who destroys this place by leaps and bounds. service was friendly but uncomfortable.
