The peer-reviewed open-access encyclopedia.
Introduction
Scholarpedia is like Wikipedia, but by and for scientists and scholars. It has more than 800 peer-reviewed "living entries" by Nobel Prize and Fields Medal winners, with many more in development. The advantage of a separate scholarly wiki is that academics can continue to target their peers with their writing and can get academic credit for their contributions (because their contributions are equivalent to publishing in a peer-reviewed journal).
